Publisher's summary

Adventure-seeking Anne Beddingfeld is in London when she sees a stranger fall to his electrifying death in the Tube. A dreadful accident? If so, who is the man in the brown suit fleeing from the scene? Curiosity, and one cryptic clue, leads Anne aboard a cruise ship to Cape Town and into the confidence of Colonel Race, counterintelligence officer for MI5. Drawn into a dangerous conspiracy, Anne’s found the adventure she wanted. And as she’s chased across continents, all she must do now is survive it.

Fun and entertaining!

At first, I wondered about the narration, but I think that was just the jarring difference from the slow, male voice in the audiobook I just finished. In no time at all, any doubts about the narration were gone. The narrator perfectly captures Anne in spirit and personality. The story itself is excellent with many twists and unexpected revelations that keep you guessing. Time well spent!

excellent

I found this version of The Man in the Brown Suit looking for titles read by this narrator, and I was not at all disappointed! I've always loved this story (my second favorite Agatha Christie) and it was phenomenal to listen to this.

What Fun!

After listening to The Scarlet Letter and Billy Budd and I'm sick of hearing about COVID19, I wanted something upbeat this was exactly what I needed to hear. The story is a fast-paced and humorous mystery. What a great combo! I thoroughly enjoyed the reader as well and I'm rather particular about readers. My time and money was well spent.

not the best reading

The extra time in this version is a preview of Amazon's version of "Murder on the Links." I preferred the sample of Emilia Fox's voice on another version of the same book.

Sorry, can't finish it

I only made it to Chapter 2.
If you were so used to the likes of David Suchet and Hugh Fraser narrating Agatha Christie, I'm sure you won't appreciate this reading of Zerah Jane Naqvi

I LOVE this novel!

I am an Agatha Christie fan and really really enjoyed this novel. The heroine Ann Bedingfield was quite fun and the twists at the end of the novel were more than I ever expected.
