Great listen......

Some stories I have read before.... many years ago, and some stories I have heard now for the first time.
Well and simply read.

Not bad

Overall, this is a good collection of Agatha Christie stories, some new and some I'd heard or read before. But I have been spoiled with full cast performances or narration by Hugh Frasier, so it wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. But at least the stories weren't 'updated' like some collections have been.

A Great Time!

What’s not to like!? It’s classic Agatha Christie. Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot show up in a few. The book is a collection of 20 short stories from the “Queen of Crime”. The Audible narrator is superb for this collection.

Delicious Agatha Christie buffet

What a great audiobook! The stories in this collection are varied -- some are spooky (a new side of Christie, for me), while others have fun with people using spiritualism for dastardly ends. The narrator is PERFECT. She has a gentle, intelligent delivery that's a pleasure to listen to,, and she brings every character vividly to life; I even love her Poirot. You get a lot of stories for your money here -- tragic, mysterious, and light-hearted -- and they’re all enjoyable.

The Queen of the weird

Agatha Christie known as the queen of mystery, could also be the Queen of the Supernatural when she wanted to be. This audiobook was full of weird and supernatural stories. It also had Poirot and Miss Marple her great detectives in a few of the stories. Great and interesting stories, a great listen to.

An Excellent Collection of Short Stories of Horror

It is common knowledge that Agatha Christie was a proponent of the occult and the supernatural and that has always given her books and short stories a flair toward unexpected and often unbelievable endings. If you are a logical-minded person, it usually means that these types of stories are just beyond your ability to work out or even believe the ending she leads you to. However, there are a few tales in this collection that feature her master sleuths, Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot, where they, through the application of their Sherlockian logic or, as Poirot would say, "the exercise of the little gray cells", they arrive at a totally natural solution to what others had ascribed to the supernatural. Most of the tales in this book are short, but all are engaging, intriguing, and entertaining. I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Suddenly, we no longer will play!! I don't know why. Perhaps it was free with purchase of Kindle ebook?

Occult Agatha Christie!!!

WoW. I thought I read all the Agatha Christie novels & short stories. What a great find. Perfect for Halloween… & a glimpse into the Spiritism practices of the time. Vintage Agatha Christie…. Thoroughly enjoyed these tales of mysticism, spiritualism, seances, & unquiet spirits.

Great listen

I enjoyed Fenella’s many voices. The last story was a little farther out than I expected!

A real pleasure

Listening to these stories, most of them little masterpieces, reminded me of the year I bought a collection of Stephen King stories. In both cases, the writers surprised and delighted me with their range, their talent and their skill. Agatha Christie is a masterful short story writer—she creates characters with so few strokes that you don’t even notice. When she’s not working round her major sleuths, the stories get even more interesting, and when they depart from the puzzle formula, more so indeed. I enjoyed “The Red Signal” for instance, and really loved the story about the cat … whose title does not do it justice. Fenella Woolgar’s reading takes it over the top. She’s wonderful. Definitely didn’t disappoint
