Another link in a twisted chain.
Jackson Lamb is as sharp witted as ever! Slightly disappointed that River Cartwright only appears towards the end as a driver for Jackson.

great short story
definitely has the qualities and foundation of a much longer tale, but ends leaving the reader to complete the narrative. I also have to mention that the continuing character development is great. I don’t think I have ever run across a curmudgeon quite like jackson lamb.

I only wish it was longer. Doesn’t sound like someone typed it out over text message like the first book. Doesn’t go excessively into Lamb’s crudeness, either. More philosophical.

The Spy Game
THE LIST is a sharp novella with as many twists and turns as there are characters and a "who is spoofing" who plot. A little slow moving in places, it is a good book #2.5 In the Slough House series.

Why not unabridged?
I enjoyed the story. It read as a nice short story, but why abridged? I guess the characters will appear in later books. On to number three!
