From death to new life

This collection was interesting that two players they got stuck in the game after their fiver pod fry them. They went through many trials both from within and without. But in the end they found out they both love each other and will be together forever. Or as long as the game runs.

Happened upon this book by luck - thankful I did!

Thanks for a great set of books, Jonathan! There was a great balance of crunch and story!

Excellent!!

I really enjoyed the story, great characters and plot. Just enough crunch with out taking away from the story. The narration took a minute to get used to but was well done once I did. I really like that the author released as a box set, I wish more authors would do this. Great job, look forward to listening to more from this author.

Great Story

This was actually a really great story. I had seen this book for the longest time but had never read it because it was so much shorter than the rest of Jonathan's books but I'm glad I did and I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the that there were aspects of both dungeon and town building as well as normal RPG aspects with the DUMB. I want more though!

It's a fun time

The dialogue is humorous, the tension great, the jokes left me giggling, and all in all I enjoyed the hell out of listening.

Worth the credit.

For the credit, I feel this book is definitely worth it. But overall I felt the books both too short and missing a lot of details that could have been flushed out better.

Book 1 was not adapted well for audio as it had large stat/monster description sections with about a dozen options appear multiple times. The book though is still good, sets up a good opening and sets up plot elements for the series.

Book 2 is better as it has less long stay blocks but still has some. The book ends on a cliffhanger (which to be honest is implied throughout the whole book) which luckily with this trilogy pack luckily you don’t have to worry about a wait with. Characters feel more real in this book but also 2D in some regards at how quickly they just accept things as changing.

Book 3 this book was far better for audio, had some stat blocks some descriptions, but they in general felt shorter and felt more engaging. The story felt really short. It starts out with a wonderful pace and sets up the rest of the book to feel like a journey. This book alone though was very packed full of fast paced events that could have been flushed out to be 15 hours by itself.

An hour before the end of the series I questioned if “trilogy” was a joke or if it was going to be multiple series that would be trilogies marked by major events. Short answer, no. The series ends with a lot of room for more answers, most loose ends are vaguely wrapped up, but I felt more could have been done.

Overall, I think the series was short and more could be added, I still have it 4 stars though because I did still enjoy it, I finished the series in about 2 days. I also feel that the story could still be expanded upon and it’s worth a listen at the very least.

--- 1. took it very well. 2. made the best of the situation and loved how She took on the challenge of becoming the Dungeon, was stoked when she could become more corporeal. That's all I'll say. I'd love to read more on this or another like this story!

Fun compilation

First of all this compilation is a great value getting 3 books in 1 and a completed series at that! The series is fun with a cute love story to tug at the heart strings. There is a good balance of game lit qualities and dungeon core elements.

For 1 Credit Great Deal

So just finished this series, overall its not bad at all the first book has a little too much stat reading that drags on but gets less and less through out the series. If I hadn't bought the whole trilogy the cliff hangers would of been really annoying. Honestly overall the series was good kind of weak ending and a few holes left open but he wrapped up everything he could. Feels like there could be more to this series without too much work.

if you're taking a break from certain types of books this will cheer you up

I've been taking a break from books that are hard to listen to for me, this book was perfect for that. If you're not looking for any real danger inside of a book then this is probably the book you're looking for. I do hope they make more.
