Publisher's summary

She’s the most wanted woman in four nations.

Caught between the four new nations of a divided America, Chloe Phantom has found some semblance of peace in the deep earthscrapers of LA, but she’s never been able to settle for long. Living up to a promise she made, she remains hidden and on the run.

She’s different, but doesn’t know how or why; her father took his secrets to the grave. The nanotech he put in her body helps to protect her, but is also the reason she’s hunted by the same people who killed him.

Some of her hunters...are they even human? Is she?

Chloe needs to discover the truth of her past, but when her identity is exposed, and her enemies discover where she is, she finds herself propelled onto a breakneck chase between hunter...and hunted.

Who can she trust? Who can she turn to?

Is saving the life of one innocent worth the fate of many?

The Last Phantom is book one of four in The Phantom Chronicles series, a thrilling sci-fi dystopia that’s filled with civil strife, war, magical science, a touch of romance, and a host of weird and adventurous characters.

Love the narrator

Good story line with lots of action that keeps you interested in what will happen next. The narrator has a great tempo and energy and the changes in the voices of the characters keeps you engaged and makes character identification while listing much easier. Looking forward to book two.

Excellent Sci Fi Dystopia / Urban Fantasy - YA

This book has it all - cloak and dagger, high-tech sci fi, nanotechnology, government agents, genius scientists, a teenage superhuman, secret societies, and even a nanovampire
TC Edge might be my new fave author. He does a stellar job setting up this world, developing the characters, and telling an exciting story. I can't wait to see what else he has that I've missed and listen to the rest of this series when it comes out.
This book would appeal to fans of many genres and it's well-written enough that it would appeal to all ages.
At first I thought a male reader an odd choice, but since the supporting characters are male, it made sense right away. Justin Vitovsky did a fab job breathing life into this exciting book. He's a truly solid reader with strong acting skills.

A good dystopian sci-fi novel

Nanotechnology, dis-United States, a girl on the run who isn't quite sure why she's being hunted. Yes, the story definitely caught my interest and the narration was definitely engaging as I would feel it more on the level of voice acting. I would definitely recommend it.

Original & Captivating

This was such a fantastic story. I absolutely love the world the author has created. I was invested in the characters journey very early on. The narrator was wonderful at bringing the story to life. I look forward to more in this series

Must Have More

This is the kind of post civil-war speculative fiction I need in my life. I want to wrap this world around me, explore it and get to know every corner.

The characters leave you intrigued, and caring what happens to them. The world's history leaves you wondering what happened and yearning for more. Can't wait for the next book.

I received a copy of this book at my request in exchange for a fair review.

Love this brilliantly written science fiction

The last phantom is a dystopian story of America after a war has split the country into 4 new countries, each with their own government.
It a pilot of a longer series, that introduces the main character by giving us their backgrounds and showing us how they all meet. It’s also an introduction to the world itself. All in all it’s a brilliantly written book, with a unique world and lots, and lots of action and drama. The main female character is a strong independent woman, forced to grow up and fight for her life, before she are out of her teenage years. The world itself are has a unique solution to over population with the utilization of building down, instead of just building up. It shows us a unique perspective on a new world order, very similar to the one we have today, but brought to an extreme with no solutions to poverty and clear boundaries between classes. It’s not a love story, but love are hinted to come in the following books.
The narrated version are also warmly recommend, since the narrator are fantastic in bringing out the uniqueness of each of the characters.
I am looking forward to reading/listening to the rest of this book series, and can warmly recommend it for fans of fantasy and Science fiction.
I received the audio version of this book for free, and since I liked the book very much, I am leaving a voluntary review. I also read the ebook version by use of KU, to get a second look at the books many details. Both versions are warmly recommended.

An engaging new story

This one took a little time to get started but once he got going it was pretty hard to put down. This story has it all for sci-fi and mystery lovers that like futuristic dystopia mysteries. Completely engaging story that is well written and well read. Great start to a series. This book stands on its own while setting the stage for more adventures to come.
