Publisher's summary

A sordid scandal rocks the Glass household and threatens to ruin Matt's family unless he can suppress it. But after word gets out, and a rare magical coronet is stolen, he and India find themselves scrambling to recover the heirloom and suppress the gossip before reputations are ruined.

To make matters worse, someone is sending threatening letters to the magicians of London, stirring up trouble between the artless and magicians. Tensions are rising, but India and Matt choose not to investigate - until the author of the letters is assaulted.

As if they don't have enough on their plate, Willie is jailed. The reason for her arrest is...complicated.

Keeps getting interesting!

Great series and I can’t wait for the next book! I am interested to see how things play out with Lord Coyle. He is awful!

Story Line

The story was good, it just got draggy. It needed something more. It was slow.

Reading backwards

I stumbled on to the Glass Library series first so I am now reading the Glass and Steele series. It's quite addicting, amazed that the author has so much imagination! I am jealous of the talent, always read, always dreamed of being a writer

Quite good, waiting for next book!

This was pretty good but not my fav of the series. Glass and Steel books are fun to listen to and O. Cassidy is very good!

“Hope” Knows No Bounds

In volume 9 of this series, there is no murder to solve, but instead the theft of a rare, gold, magical crown.
In the process of searching for this, several lives change, not always for the best. Hope Glass demonstrates that a desire for power is so “intoxicating” that one so inclined might make unexpected decisions to gain that power….
India and Matt are thankfully a steadying force in a London that is still wrapped in class rules.
Overall, this is an entertaining series.

Good books, but a little bit repetitive

I like these books.. although I have to say they all mimic each other. at least this time when a gun was pulled out on Matt he wasnt actually shot. although India still thought the exact same process through her mind on how to save him and heal him as all the others. I think I will take a break before moving on to the next book. Im a little worn out with Matt asking India..." Are you alright?!"
