Publisher's summary

Disturbing. Original. Terrifying. The 'master of horror' is back with the chilling tale of what lurks in the walls of an abandoned hospital.

In this abandoned hospital, pain lives on... and it wants revenge.

St Philomena's military hospital has been abandoned for over three years. Now Lilian Chesterfield, who works for one of the most successful building companies in England, is in charge of developing it into a luxury housing complex.

But as soon as she and her colleagues start work in the Jacobean-style mansion, their dream turns into a nightmare. They hear screaming from wards full of empty beds. They hear doors slamming and find cutlery scattered over the kitchen floor. Then they see faces peering at them from the mullioned windows.

Lilian is pragmatic–she doesn't believe in the supernatural. But just when she's put her mind at rest by scouring the mansion from top to bottom and finding nothing, a former patient of St Philomena's arrives with a warning. The hospital is haunted. And it is haunted by something a thousand times more terrifying than ghosts...

Awesome unique story

The narrator was FANTASTIC in bringing all the characters to a life that was unique to each. Story was great. The only thing that didn’t really match was the title. I’m not sure I heard mention of Phantom Park more than once. But still an awesome story.

Haunted

The Narrator did an amazing job with all the characters and their personalities.
Lily is determined to get a job done for the company she works for. Then things start happening and happening each day.
I loved the story and recommend if you like hauntings.

Disturbing!

I don't know what to say about this book but the author had a good imagination. It was very strange. The narrator did a good job.

“ Save me, Lil. It hurrtttss!”

Well, that was an unexpected hoot. I hope Lillian doesn’t have to listen to Tim for eternity.

Interesting story that was occasionally bogged down by too many exploding people. The narrator really gave it her all considering the material. I might check out another title by this author if the same gal narrates.

Kept me on the edge…

I’m going to try to avoid spoilers.

The narrator was absolutely fantastic and might be my favorite after a single listen.
The story was very interesting and I loved the take on the spirits and why they were still here and haunting the earthly plane.

The main character… eh… I found her to be terribly grating and someone I’d probably hate being around in the real world. I thought she was extremely self serving throughout which made the ending kind of fall flat for me.

While the story was overall an amazing concept stacked on top of the common trope of renovating a haunted building, I thought it got confusing at times due to certain elements of the story not being fleshed out as much as they could/should have.

I’m sure many folks liked or didn’t mind the ending but, as mentioned earlier, the main character was a total ‘Karen’. Sure she had some compassion but her main driving point was her job and keeping it. Maybe this is just another example of elements needing to be fleshed out more but it made the ending completely unbelievable for me.

Loved it

This was beautifully written and narrated, and such a unique story. I had expected a lot of cliches but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s not a story for the faint of heart though as there are some graphic bits, but I was very happy with it.

The Narrator Is Superb

For me the real treasure in this title was Emma Gregory. She is incredibly versatile in her narration. I do mean to say that she is talented To be frank, I avoid horror stories narrated by women, because I find they take the sting out of the tale. But Emma Gregory is perfectly adept. If narration is considered an art form then I would say that Emma Gregory is a virtuoso. I enjoyed the story because of her primarily. The story was unique and I thought it was good.
