Light summer reading
This mystery is not going to blow you away, but I liked the the easy pace and side stories of the characters. No horrifying violence, only one murder. If you’re in to cozy mysteries, it’s pretty good.

Nothing Special Here
Ridiculous plot, well read by Jenny Funnell. By the time I reached the end of the book, which happened only after I increased the speed, I really did not like any of the characters and I really did not care about the solution. Ending indicated a next book, not for me!

Nope.
I wanted to love The Dinner Lady Detectives but ended up DNFing it two-thirds of the way through. I just hate the two main characters. They are both irritating and too stupid to live. Other similar cozies stretch believability but this one is waaaaay over the line. When I started rooting for the (obvious) murderer, I knew I needed to move on to another book. I can’t think of anyone who would like this one but I’m also sure there will be many who do. There’s a reader out there for ever book.
