Superb narration of great new addition to Bliss series. Not for the squeamish. Truly evil villains. Complicated plot. Hideous murders. Fast pace. Wrenching heartbreak. Pretty good.
I was struggling to find my next mystery/thriller book, and thought that this one was pretty good. However, this narrator may be excellent in some ways, but he sounds lethargic when he's narrating. I.e., I won't listen to another book that is narrated by him.
Audible, it is so important that you find great narrators, for great stories. I came across several that I would have purchased, before I chose this one, but then didn't because I didn't like the narrator. I know that I'm not the only one.

Unlikeable protagonist. Women in the series not well written.
I struggled with this series and have finally reached the point of no return. I think we are supposed to like DI Bliss, or at least sympathize with him, but I simply hate the character. And, the women in this series are just canon fodder. I couldn’t bring myself to finish either this book or the previous one. Therefore, this is where I get off.
