Publisher's summary

Across America, citizens of this once proud nation sit in the dark, slowly starving to death. Most are dirty and sick. They've been abandoned by politicians and bureaucrats who continued to grow fatter and richer during the collapse. Foreign governments court the nation's leaders, putting them up on cruise ships and in foreign hotels, while the average American lives in squalor, ignored and abandoned.

A reluctant savior rises from an unlikely direction. He doesn't need the politicians nor the American government. They represent everything he despises. He's a doer. A self-made man who builds empires and creates jobs. When he says he's going to do something, he does everything in his power to make it happen.

In short, he's exactly the opposite of those leading the country.

As this unlikely leader decides it's time to put his plan in place, Conor and Ricardo are in the Washington, DC, area on a mission to retrieve a cache of supplies. Through a chance meeting, the two get sucked into a whirlwind of conspiracy, murder, and a totally unorthodox plan for rebuilding the nation.

Another amazing story by the Franklin Horton!

This is another example of amazing research and story development by Franklin Horton. I started listening to his books a year or 2 ago. Every time a new book releases I wonder how he is going to come up with a new theme or problem. So far, none of his books have disappointed! The Death Dealers Manual is by far his best book to date. I’m always amazed at the amount of research he must puts in these books. Beyond the research, the author does something that can be somewhat rare in this genre, character development. Through every chapter in every book, I feel like I learn more about what makes these characters who they are. There is a constant twist that takes each character to a different level and understanding. I can’t speak highly enough about this book, or the other books written by the author. Do yourself a favor and buy this book!

Mad Mick need more M M

Fascinated by Conor and these stories. This one took a left turn but it was almost inevitable. Though fictional and I use that term loosely.. your mind hopefully will open...

Another stellar story!

Connor and team didn’t disappoint in this 7th tale of survival. Kevin Pierce once again was exceptional in his reading of this great series.
