Publisher's summary

Barrette Blake has virtually no memory of the night her world changed forever. With the unwavering support of her best friend, she tries to piece together her life and her foggy memories of that night. She’s focused and resilient, but on the inside, she’s losing hope she’ll ever be whole again.

Asa Lawson has it all together - on the field that is. He dominates the college football scene, but his life is messy. He’s in love with the girl who can’t love herself after everything that’s happened to her. While everything around him is spiraling out of control and threatens to come crashing down completely, the truth about the night that destroyed his childhood friend is revealed. She’s hiding from the night she doesn’t remember, and he’s going to show her she’s worth the risk.

A strong and very relevant story

I thought I had an inkling about what this story by Shey Stahl would be about but I was a bit wrong. It is very well written. There are parts you will hate. There are parts you will be frustrated about but yet it's a beautifully written story. You should read it. Give it a chance. Narration lent itself well to the story also.

Perfection

This audio book was absolute perfection! I loved this book so much and I knew it was going to be a hard one to narrate because of how emotional it was, but Teddy Hamilton and Madison George did an amazing job at portraying not only Barrette and Asa but all the incredible characters in this book.

Read it! Listen to it!

Saving Barrette is a must listen (or read)! The story had twist and turns in all of the right places. For fear of giving any spoilers I’m keeping this short. Just go read (or listen) to the book, you will not be disappointed!!

Simply Awesome

I absolutely loved the story beginning to end!!! Set in Seattle Washington, I could totally related to the story. I live in WA state and my sister went to UW. Ada and B's dramatic love story proves good conquers evil!!
