Realistic

Both books are 5 stars but my favorite element is how realistic both of them are. The advice is realistic and easy to apply into a normal persons life.

Lost me on the first chapter

Not helpful, too preachy, and overall it was boring. The author sees climate change as a driving factor for minimalism.

The first book is decent. The power of hygge is one of the dumbest books I have heard.

Enjoyed the minimalism book but there are better books out there for it. (The minimalist home) the power of hygge is one of the dumbest books I have read. It barely touches on Dutch culture and what hygge is it just goes through simplistic anecdotal problems with not good advice.

Skip the second book

The first book is short and sweet. Actually wish it was longer and deeper. The second book is generic life advice. Some of which isn’t even great advice. I really wasn’t interested in it’s preaching about the moral corruption of the nuclear family. Not sure what it has to do with minimalism. I could have lived my life just fine without the generic advice and morality opinions. Exercise routines for “your kids”? What does that have to do with minimalism? Carbs are a critically important part of your diet? The crap advice goes on in on in no apparent cohesive concept. Throw the second book away and just listen to one of your dumb coworkers rant about how they think everyone should live.
