In the church today, we have everything buttoned up perfectly. The music is flawless, the sermon well-prepared and smoothly delivered, and the grounds meticulously kept. People come on time and go home on time. But a fundamental element is missing. Prayer combines the best of Tozer on prayer into one volume. Tozer was captured by the great wonder of God, and he regarded prayer as the primary means of coming into his presence. But if our everyday life is filled with the barrenness of busyness and there is no serious urgency to pray, we forfeit the wonder of being conformed to the image of Christ and knowing our God more intimately - the true Christian life.

Beautiful
Yes, this book uses “Old English,” but I actually found that to be endearing. Her gentle way with words and explanations called me deeper in love with God. Her reminders echo through my mind as I face the day. God’s ways truly are higher and better than our own and sweet Hannah has a wonderful way to help you lean into Him and “then off” the doubts or dears this world throws. I highly recommend.

Life changing!
The author explains the journey to becoming Christlike so simple and rewarding. This book is gold for the Christian pursuing Christ and the many blessings God has in store for those who obey. I will be listening to this book again… starting tomorrow. Such a pleasant experience.

Exceptional!
This is one of the most lucid explanations of the Christian's walk that I have ever read. Her ability to take a complex subject and reduce it to easily understood principles and explain how and why you should apply them is unparalleled. I wish all current Christian writing were as enlightened. Concerning the narration, I felt Ms. Gavin's reading of this book related the spirit of the author's intentions to the listener in a superb manner. I only wish my review could relate my enthusiasm for this book half as well.
