My First Brian Lumley Book, Great Short Stories

All original works, some in the the Cthulu Mythos. Many loosely interconnected threads and characters between the stories, but not consequential. There are many short story anthologies out there, many of which are either poorly organized, full of random public domain stories interspersed with the narrators comparatively poor original works. This is all Lumley's work and the narrator is perfect for the tone.

I can't wait to read some of his other stories, or pick up the Necroscope novels.

Fun, Quick Short Stories

Like another reviewer mentioned, these are great stories to listen to with a drink in hand late at night or one story per night before bed, etc.
Most of the stories are on the short side (25 min or less). However, there is one toward the end that is seven chapters long (this is by far the best story in the collection). I usually find 30 min to 1 hour per story best (or if the stories all build on one another, like in the same universe, etc.)

2020: Here at Last

The book where it all began for Master Brian Lumley is given the Joshua Saxon treatment.

Honestly, only Joshua should be reading Master Lumley's works, and herein lies the proof.

From the first breath to the final utterance, Joshua brings to life the world's created so masterfully here by Brian Lumley.

Each story comes alive, close your eyes and let Joshua's tones, intonation, diction and ease of narration take you to all the world's contained here.

You can see where Lumley was going with several of these tales, and here they are given birth and put forth into existence, here it is in the form of pure ear candy.

Necroscope may be his best known works, but it's these short stories that we see/hear the genesis of all that has come forth since.

Kick back, have a glass of wine, dim the lights and hit play. 7+ hours will melt away as if you are transported along the Mobius strip yourself.

Joshua has done it again, with a voice that soothes, terrifies, and has a delicious touch of TIM CURRY!

Which makes his rendition all the better!
Kudos Joshua....cannot wait to see and hear what Master Lumley and Silky have in store for you to immortalize in the future!"
