Excellent story!

I loved this book! It took me a chapter or so to really get into it but once I did I didn’t want to stop listening! The narrator did an excellent job bringing it to life! I definitely recommend this book!

excellent

Joshua Saxon again takes Master Lumley's works out for a stroll with his unique narration and we, the listening audience only need close our eyes and let his voice transport us to the people and places that we've come to love on the Lumley world's.

I can listen to Joshua read anything but his rendition of Brian Lumley's books are a special treat because he treats them as if they were his own.

closing your eyes and just enjoying the narration is the best part of any audiobook and Joshua as you can tell takes pride in his pronunciation and enunciation of the very complex world that Brian Lumley has created

An Old Favorite And a New Love

I've been a fan of Brian Lumley since at least 1992. He's always been to my mind anyway an underrated and overlooked leader in horror. The narrator Joshua Saxon was new to me. I'm not sure if I can adequately describe just how impressed I am after listening to this book. His talents go beyond narration because he does a better job singing an old irish ditty acapella than some professional singers I've heard. If you are new to either the author or the narrator then I can honestly say it is worth your time and money to check this book out!

Great Book,

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Reading the description, and finding that it was considered book 19 of the series, I was skeptical about starting it, fortunately, it was unnecessary to have read the previous material. The narration was done with clear and vibrant voices, with very few errors. I found only one or two spots where the audio appeared to be patched or corrected. Otherwise, it was a great narration.
As far as the story goes, I could imagine it being the inspiration for the movie "The Sixth Sense", Great concept, and was truly interested in Harry Koegh's story that I purchased the first 3 books or the Necroscope series. Truly an awesome book to listen to and Mr. Lumley has a talent for horror, able to incorporate new ideas, in worlds of his own and that of H.P. Lovecraft's. Next to Clive Barker and Stephen King, Brian Lumley has become one of my favorite writers.

Lumley+Saxon=Magic…Another great entry in the Necroscope saga…Started kind of slow for me, but by the end of the last story I was all in…Now, on to the next volume…

Pirates!

Half of this was Plague Bearer the other half was new to me, a Pseudo vampire story, which i really liked.

Joshua Saxon does a great job as with all of Lumley's books,

A Good One

This book was given to me for free at my request and I am providing this review voluntarily.

1st, I REALLY LOVE Joshua's narration. His voice is very clear with no mistakes (that I caught at least). His voice is even relaxing & calming, very easy on the ears & mind. He'd be perfect for sleep stories & meditations.

The story was a bit long winded at times & lagged in places for me, making it hard to keep going at times. However, so are some of Stephen Kings books, so it doesn't mean it's bad at all. I liked all the characters in the book & the development of each one.

Yes, I would recommend this one!! Yes, I recommend the narrator as well!!
