Publisher's summary

Little known fact about being a werewolf: There are always wolves at your door and some of them are up to no good.

Chloe Weiss' dreams have finally come true: She's a null no more, her wolf has finally come. She's now a full member of her pack in the remote Appalachian "weretown" of Hunstville.

Even better, she's mated to the pack's next alpha, Jackson Swift. However, now that she's on the other side of her happy ending, things aren't quite as rosy as she'd expected.

The women of her pack resent her status as alpha's mate and suddenly there are rumors that Chloe is an Omega, a werewolf so weak they are banned from ever mating. Worse, an old friend of Jackson's blows into town full of disapproval.... and competition. It seems no one likes Chloe except Jackson.

Then women start disappearing, violently kidnapped from their homes and never heard from again. There's a killer on the loose in the small town of Huntsville, and the one wolf he'd do anything to have is Chloe.

Now Chloe will have to fight... for Jackson, her place in the pack, and her life.

This stand alone audiobook is a sequel to the best-selling To Bring Her Wolf.

The Alpha's Mate is the sequel to Bring Her Wolf. While you don't need to have read Bring Her Wolf first it does help to show where Chloe is coming from and her previous position in the pack. I liked how Chloe's strength and confidence grew throughout and how she dealt with the mean girls and viciousness of the others. However, what I didn't like was the narrator. The southern accent was awful, like truly terrible. The women were whiny. I almost couldn't listen to it. I sped it up to get through it faster.

I received this audiobook for free from Audiobook Obsession. This is my honest and voluntary review.

empowered (Anglo) underdog gets even.

Great werewolf story with mean girls getting what they deserve. No people of different color or culture is the only draw back for me. But I cheered at the end. Good story.

Wow what a story

Chloe is mated to Jackson. He was able to bring her wolf so now she is full shifter and part of the pack. But now everyone is happy about it. A few woman think Jackson should be theirs and Chloe is in the way and therefore in danger.
Chloe trys to tell Jackson but he only has eyes for her and thinks that's all there is to it. But others have eyes on Chloe and she us there target.
Can she get thew this alive?
And to all that and there is a rogue alpha kidnapping woman. A rogue alpha is the werewolf of nightmares.
Wow that a story full of action and mystery.
Audrey Lusk gives Chloe a real southern Bell sound and puts lots of teasing into the story lol it real fun.

Proving your worth

The author has written a story with great plot and character development. Jackson and Chloe are in love, but the town doesn't accept her. Jackson doesn't realize the negative effect this has on Chloe. I like how she fights her way past all of these negative people to prove that she is worthy to be the Alpha's mate. The person that is trying to kill Chloe may come as a surprise. The narrator does a good job, but it took me awhile to get use to her.

The Alpha’s mate

I believe that this is a great narrator. She really makes the story better. She could likely read the dictionary and it would be good.

Loved Chloe and her snark

This was one of those stories that I thought that it was the second in a set that I was already listening to. So it is understandable that I was a little confused at the start. Once I got going all was good. While I didn’t really need the first one in the series, it might have helped to understand where Chloe & Jackson were starting from. Chloe & Jackson are pretty much newly mated and just settling in when there’s danger to the pack from a killer.

I really liked Chloe’s sense of snark and whit but wondered why she was so unsure of her match with Jackson. As the story progresses, Chloe knows that she has to help protect the pack and begins to blossom as an Alphas mate. I felt that Jackson was a little dense and inattentive as a mate and most especially for an alpha. The storyline was good and easy to listen to. I would definitely recommend it as one that you can listen to while commuting.

Sexy Book, New Narrator

This is the second book in the series, and it definitely builds beautifully on the last book. I truly enjoyed the listening to Chloe's growth and watching her come into her own after being a Null her entire life. It is definitely steamy! Great sexy scenes, Michelle Fox writes great dynamic, sexy, fun-loving characters and story. I recommend that you keep reading the series!

However, I had one issue - There was a new narrator for this book. So it is harder to do a switch of the internal voice. Additionally, the first narrator and the second narrator used drastically different accents in each book. The narration was not what I had anticipated when starting this book. I feel like the narrator could be really good with some extra work on her southern accent. Unfortunately, it came off sounding fake and forced and she often sounds in pain during sexy scenes.

But a great imagination and a great story means you can truly enjoy this story!!
Ciera is a fierce woman who is ready to go to hell and back from her sister, literally... This story is a light Reverse Harem (so far!) and features some amazingly sexy and interesting characters. This is a retelling of Dante's Inferno, so you get to enjoy the excitement of the rings of hell while also getting to watch the characters grow and get better. I truly enjoyed this story and would recommend it to anyone who has a love of the paranormal fun in hell!

Hiral Varsani is a great narrator! I had never heard anything from her before, but I really enjoyed her different voices and her narration! I can't wait to listen to the rest of this series!

intriguing book

I really enjoyed listening to this book despite the fact that I struggled a bit with the accent. It made me smile everytime I heard the drawl but it sure did fit into the story.
I found the narration exceptional and I lost myself into the story many times.
The storyline was intriguing and it had some adventure and adrenaline rush.
There were some moments that I found some expressions a bit cheesy and I would have liked to have some more story in the ending but overall it was an enjoyable book that I would recommend to others
