Publisher's summary

Children are killing themselves across the state of Tennessee. Is it a horrible coincidence, or are dark forces at work?

When Jack Nightingale learns that there is a mysterious list of children who are at risk, he takes the case, spurred on by the fact that he knows one of the names, and that makes it personal. His investigation brings him up against a demon from hell who is being used on a mission of revenge. But if Nightingale is to save the children and his own soul, he’ll need help from an old adversary.

Interesting Story

Fascinating story though I have some issues with the duct tape on the hands. I noticed the narrator's swallowing and digestive noises were louder in this book compared to previous books.

It’s ok

Didn’t grip me like San Fran and NY stories and I’m not sure why. I wonder is it’s because I’m getting tired of it??? Then again, I’m about to start New Orleans - this looks interesting 😀

Rushed audio, poorly edited, but good book.

I've listened to pretty much every book in the Nightingale series, and this is one really is a step backward in quality. Paul Thornley is great, and the story is good, but the editing is clearly rushed.

There are some parts where the narrator re-reads the same line, long silences that are immersion breaking, I'm pretty sure there are parts where I can hear paper moving, and quite, unfortunately, too many times, I can hear swallowing - this makes me very uncomfortable.

Again, I think most of the creatives involved do a good job, and I'm willing to overlook these flaws to finish the story, but it could use a second go at editing to improve quality.
