Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

A teen book that has a forward thinking grandma who doesn't seem to have an issue with teen sex. But hey, she is, after all, raising her unwed daughter's love child, so what ev! And while were at it, let's explore how cool body piercings and tattoos are...That aside, I had a hard time listening to this storying, because it just didn't seem to flow for me. The story itself seemed to move slowly, exaggerated by the narrator and her endless pauses. The dramatic use of pauses and tone to try and add emphasis to the story just made it stilted. Although in my library thanks to my daughter, I won't bother to read the rest.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Alyssa Bresnahan?

Ilyana Kadushin, Cris Dukehart, Stephanie Wolf or similar, with a much younger voice, who would better represent a 17 year old female protagonist.

Was Wicked Lovely worth the listening time?

Nope

this book is unforgettably amazing

I love this book I feel like every time I read it I am actually in the book when u have a great author like Melissa Marr who can actually make you feel like you are in the book that amazing and real talent. thank you for your books its always a pleasure to read your books Melissa.

It's not all bad and not all good

I personally didn't like the narration of the book The story plot was good till the end for me and an FYI to future readers no of the other books that follow pick up where this one left off so if you're like me don't read this book because the ending left more but is never finished

well hearing it made me understand more about it then when i read in print.

i cannot compair another because this is my favorite bk series.

nope nope but this one is very good. actually one of the first audios ive listened to (kinda new too it)

Good

Very good but very YA. I enjoyed this story but if I was 15, I would adore it.

Great story, great performance but..

So the story is great! been listening to it all night while I stocked shelves.

That being said if you have problems with certain sounds like lip smacking or just general noises of the mouth.... this would definitely bother you. The sound design could've been better in cleaning up the audio. I'm going to be honest every end of sentence, paragraph and chapter you can clearly hear "spit" or mouth smacking.

Probably only a trigger for me but hey if you can trek through it or that doesn't bother you go for it. As for me I'm going to push through for the story!

Love this book!

I really enjoy this book. I found it years ago as a teenager in an airport during during a layover. Found it on audible a few weeks ago and had to listen to it again. The reader gave each character their own voice and really brought the story to life! I loved it!

Recording quality issue but great book

The narrator was good but I don't think it affected the story at all.

The book by Melissa Marr is great. The narration by Alyssa Bresnahan is also excellent. This recording was just poor quality. There an odd amount or crackling white noise in the background. It sounds like a cassette made into digital. Its not an old book, published in 2007, so Im not sure why this is the case. Its just a bit odd and could be distracting for some people especially if your expecting high quality audio.

enjoyable book! I did like it. I did really like the narrator BUT... OH MY GOODNESS around chapter 23 - 24 the narrator snapping her lips and tongue clicking drove me freaking insane! Just when the book is hitting the peek I cant pay attention cause of her licking her lips after every word. And what sucks is she has a great voice and does great, but that HAS to stop! I know it sounds silly LOL. the book is good though and thoroughly enjoyable. the is my only complaint and it truly drove me insane

I found the story to be slow, maybe a little more detail than plot. Though I have read worst.
