Publisher's summary

Book one in the blockbuster Maze Runner series that spawned a movie franchise and ushered in a worldwide phenomenon! And don’t miss The Fever Code, the highly-anticipated series conclusion that finally reveals the story of how the maze was built! When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his name. He’s surrounded by strangers - boys whose memories are also gone.

Outside the towering stone walls that surround them is a limitless, ever-changing maze. It’s the only way out - and no one’s ever made it through alive. Then a girl arrives. The first girl ever. And the message she delivers is terrifying: Remember. Survive. Run.

The Maze Runner and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, and Maze Runner: The Death Cure all are now major motion pictures featuring the star of MTV's Teen Wolf, Dylan O’Brien; Kaya Scodelario; Aml Ameen; Will Poulter; and Thomas Brodie-Sangster.

loved it

If you could sum up The Maze Runner in three words, what would they be?

intriguing, exciting

What did you like best about this story?

The story moved along well, keeping me involved the entire way through.

What about Mark Deakins’s performance did you like?

He had a nice voice and did a great job of telling the story.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

What would it be like to not have any memories? This is a very different "child-led" society than "Lord of the Flies".

Any additional comments?

This story really made me think. I'm looking forward to listening to the next in the series. I don't know that I would recommend it for pre-teen kids. It is a little gruesome and scary.

Better than the movie

Like many other stories the book was better than the movie. I was very surprised with how much was changed or left out of the movie.

메이즈러너 오디오북

책으로 읽는 것과는 사뭇 다른 느낌이네요 그리고 전문 성우가 읽어서 듣는내내 좋았습니다.

Interesting

Nice dystopia, a bit predictable but still not a bad story. Will definitely be continuing the series.

Smooth Read

The narrator was great. The book was easy to listen too. I am going to listen to the next two books also.

Great start

This was a great book standing alone, sadly I feel that the author just started grasping at tangents and random motives to finish the trilogy.

Good, but lacking depth

The narration was very high quality, but it didn't follow the tone of the events that were being described: other narrators I've listened to tend to alter their tone when describing epic events versus run of the mill events.

The story was always interesting, but it wasn't very fulfilling: the author seems to have designed the world to work in ways that are flashy and entertaining, but with no intention of justifying these rather contrived features.
