"I thought things would change when I found the others. We would stop running. We would fight the Mogadorians. And we would win.
"But I was wrong. Even though we have come together, we barely escaped from the Mogadorians with our lives. And now we're in hiding, trying to figure out our next move.
"The six of us are powerful - but we're not yet strong enough to take on their entire army. We haven't discovered the full extent of our Legacies. We haven't learned to work together. And there's still so much that we don't know about the Elders or their plan for us. Time is running out, and there's only one thing we know for certain: We need to find Number Five before they do.
"They caught Number One in Malaysia. Number Two in England. And Number Three in Kenya. I am Number Four. I was supposed to be next. But I'm still alive.
"This battle is far from over."

Love the way the story is headed. Would have like more detail in the end.
When they learned the truth about what was going on with five.
I loved the first 2 books and then the 3rd had some issues but nothing compared to this one. By far the worst book in the series. It feels like the writer just gave up after the first chapter and started writing some down to fill up the rest of the book.
Stuck with what made the first 2 books so good.
The narrators did great. Too bad the script they had to read was so bad.
disappointment big time. I waited a year from the last book to get this . . . really?
Re-write this book from scratch. This book seemed like they were just trying to extend the series to make more money off the books. Be wary of downloading this audiobook
The story is amazing. Brings everybody together and then leaves you wanting SO MUCH MORE. But the Narration is terrible!!! They break the reading down by whether a male or female instead of by character. It makes for a horrible clash of voices which weren't that good to begin with. I high suggest you read the book on your own. If I could give the performance a 0 stars I would!!!
I am a professional driver and therefore spend a lot of time on the road. Audible has been a great source of entertainment for me.
Yes...and I only say this because I am waiting for the conclusion of the story. I am hoping that all these pieces will make a wonderful whole.
I am patiently awaiting the release of Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson. I am a big fan:)
I liked the dramatic sacrifice that one of the ten made. I don't wish to spoil anything by details but one of the ten attacks another, and yet another steps in the way of the killing blow... and the one who attacked is totally shattered by this emotionally.
Yes....but just barely. The betrayer is indeed obvious. They tried to throw ya off but it was a weak diversion. I don't know what kind of brainwashing they did to him but it is indeed deep. It does raise the question if you have read all the books then you start to wonder if the lorians deserved what they got. Sure they were good to the environment on their world, but they did seem to enslave the mogodorians. At least that is the impression that I got. Now the mogs took it a little far when they annihilated ALL the lorians, but they may have had cause. I really hate the way some newer authors leave the book off in a cliff hanger. This book feels like two or three chapters of a real book. lol. Reminds me of the house of night series..... *shiver* lol.
To the author..... make your books longer darn you:P Love the idea, the characters (even though you kill them a little too freely sometimes) I know it is a good book when you feel emotions for the characters there in, but I just wish there were more to each book. For the Reader: I would read this series but maybe wait until the series is finished or suffer the wait until the next one....like me....LoL:)
Yes this was time well spent, but I won't listen to it again.
The most memorable moment for this book was the experience with Five at the tree however is was spoiled by the use of the "F" word.
I liked the protection and healing of Six.
I still did not like the use of the "F" word in this book. It did not fit and the use of it was out of character with all of the books up to this point. There could have been a dozen other words used that would not be so offensive.
don't really see myself listing to this book ever again, it was only worth a one time read. Story never even had one epic moment throughout the whole 9 hours, and had a bitter ending nothing really good to say about book 4 it just left me felling meh about the whole book,... simply put book 4 is worth one read and one read only!
I don't want to give away too many details, but one of the Garde gets a new Legacy that is potentially pretty cool.
I was left feeling very dissatisfied and let down with the ending. It seemed unnaturally abrupt and poorly timed. It will be very frustrating to wait to find out whether or not one of my favorite characters is alive or not and I felt it was an unnecessary question mark. I know it is a series so it should leave some room for the next one, but I think this book would have been greatly improved if it was a little bit longer and had a little more of an ending.
I really do like this series and I hope the next one doesn't take too long to come out.
The only reason why I am not going to say it wasn't time well spent is because it is a series. For the most part I have really enjoyed the story line of the series. I can only hope that the next book has a better story line and a whole lot less swearing. With each book the story line is dwindling. I hope he can pick it up.
No. I have read enough to know that one book can never dictate how you judge a genre.
Only if it can keep the same cast that was in the first books version of the movie. Even then I don't know if i could sit through the movie too.
I'm not sure after this short and poorly ended sequel.
The other books were much much better.
The was very short - the Lost Files seemed longer. It ended poorly in an odd place.
