Publisher's summary

So...you'd think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark's life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang. Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions.

Speaking of stress, the dark force lurking in the tunnels under the Tulsa Depot is spreading, and Zoey is beginning to believe Stevie Rae could be responsible for a lot more than a group of misfit red fledglings. Aphrodite's visions warn Zoey to stay away from Kalona and his dark allure, but they also show that it is Zoey who has the power to stop the evil immortal.

Soon it becomes obvious that Zoey has no choice: if she doesn't go to Kalona he will exact a fiery vengeance on those closest to her. Will Zoey have the courage to chance losing her life, her heart, and her soul? Find out in the next spectacular installment in the House of Night Series, Tempted.

Horrible Horrible Narrator Why the change??

So like everyone else, I had to write a review about the horrible choice in narrator. The other change in the series, from Edwina Wren to Jenna Lamia took me a bit to get used to but Lamia at least kept the pronunciation the same and did a good job on Stevie Ray. The new narrator, Cassandra Morris changes all the Native American pronunciations and is so tinty and whiny sounding. I was so excited to listen to the new book but this narrator is making it difficult to enjoy this book as much as the others. I truly hope that someone from the publishing company reads this so that the same mistake is not made on the next book.

Great Books with only 1 Problem

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I really loved EVERY book in this series... my ONLY complaint is when you have a book series with multiple narrarators throughout the series, please make sure that they pronounce the words the same as the previous narrarator. Each New Reader pronounces certain words diffrently... and they are Important words that you hear frequently so when they are so Drastically changed from one book to another it really catches me off guard and pulls me out of the story.

The Narrator is so bad

I've read the books years ago and after listening to a few of my friends talking about I decided to listen to the audiobooks instead of reading them. The performances in the first five books were easy on the ears. But going no more than 20 mins, roughly to the beginning of chapter 3, I couldn't take it anymore. The narrator of this book mispronounced so many words that I hurt my ears to listen to it. So with that in mind, i decided to go back to the book and read it, then go back to Audible to finish up the series. Thankfully they changed the narrator for the other books, just hoping that they are easier to listen to.

Love the book but not the reader

The book is great but the reader is different from the other books and don’t use the right pronunciations and reads the book fast without much pause.

get thrown off the storyline due to the reader

I love the book but it sucks when the reader changes and they all don't pronounce the names for the characters the same as the previous reader. It really throws me off and I lose interest in the story

Just, WOW!

This was by far, the best book of the series yet! I so enjoyed every action packed moment of this book. Soooo much happened it was almost hard to contain my excitement while listening to it at work. This was definitely the type of rise and climax I was waiting for to look for a reason to continue besides just loving the characters. I cannot wait to listen to the next one because after an ending like that, I HAVE to continue.....

As for narration, it was definitely better than Jenna but still lacking the pronunciation and character accents that Caitlin had. I'm so happy Caitlin is reading from here on out. If I had to put the narrators in order and rate them on a scale of 1-10 it would be as follows: Jenna - 4, Cassandra - 6, and Caitlin - 10!!!!!!! Cassandra was narrating this book and she was okay but still had a childish voice, didn't pronounce like she should have following the other narrators, and she lost most all of the accents/tones that Caitlin had for the characters. Caitlin is by far the best narrator out of the 3 and I'm stoked to listen to her finish it all out! Please, please, please push through these other 2 narrators ( I know it sucks) because the story is soooo worth it!

Reader is the worst of all the books

Reader mispronounced so many words and names. Her voice is distracting. The different voices are not good. This was a suffer through for the story line kind of listen.

background noise

love the series but while listening kept getting distracted by the background noise... that shouldn't happen with an audiobook...
