Publisher's summary

So...you'd think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark's life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang. Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions.

Speaking of stress, the dark force lurking in the tunnels under the Tulsa Depot is spreading, and Zoey is beginning to believe Stevie Rae could be responsible for a lot more than a group of misfit red fledglings. Aphrodite's visions warn Zoey to stay away from Kalona and his dark allure, but they also show that it is Zoey who has the power to stop the evil immortal.

Soon it becomes obvious that Zoey has no choice: if she doesn't go to Kalona he will exact a fiery vengeance on those closest to her. Will Zoey have the courage to chance losing her life, her heart, and her soul? Find out in the next spectacular installment in the House of Night Series, Tempted.

This narrator

Idk how this lady got a job at all as an audio book reader. Her accents are terrible and nonexistent. And not only that but her story telling is terrible as well, zero depth. I am struggling thru the 10 HOURS I have to deal with this lady. If I could fast forward I would to save myself the torture.

I loved the book but not the narrator

I really loved this book and the series is so good
but the narration was horrible it sounded like an annoying teenager and the voice changes for the characters wasn't that good as well as just the way certain things where said. I was able to get through it but I took a break between chapters.

Terrible narrator

I'm drawn into this series so I need to finish the book, but she clearly didn't listen to the previous books or care to learn name pronunciations. I'm having a hard time concentrating this time because she kinda drones on.

currently crying

I read these books back as a teen and have been rereading them (well, listening) and just like last time, I'm crying. though this narrator has been my least favorite, there's not much distinction between characters

Love the Story - Bad Narrator :)

The person reading this book changes the pronunciation of everything! I usually do not complain about the Narrators and I wouldn't have complained about the tone of the voice (even though it wasn't as good as the last one) BUT she could have at least listened to one of the other books so that she used the same pronunciation. That drove me crazy, I found myself constantly correcting her. :)

Loved the story (so I gave it 5 stars), can't wait for the next one!

Another crappy narrator

Ok, this girl is worse than the last narrator. She sounds like she's flirting the whole time she's talking. Her voice goes up at the end of every ending statement as though she is either flirting with someone or constantly asking questions. It's driving me NUTS!!!!! The book, however, is of course amazing. :)

Pronunciation issues

Drove me nuts the way she pronounced Erebus the entire way through. Otherwise, it was fine.

Narrator Change Annoyance

I'm on the 6th book in this very long series and already, the narrator has been changed three times! It normally wouldn't be such a HUGE deal, but all 3 of them pronounce words differently & make completely different personalities for characters in the book. I think Audible should start to write contracts with people for the books that have a large series. It's very annoying that one narrator had "Kremisha" sounding ghetto and one had her sounding like she was from the trailer park of Alabama. It makes it hard to keep up!
