Hunger for nourishment. Hunger for touch. Hunger to belong.
Half-human and half-faery, Ani is driven by her hungers.
Those same appetites also attract powerful enemies and uncertain allies, including Devlin. He was created as an assassin and is brother to the faeries' coolly logical High Queen and to her chaotic twin, the embodiment of War. Devlin wants to keep Ani safe from his sisters, knowing that if he fails, he will be the instrument of Ani's death.
Ani isn't one to be guarded while others fight battles for her, though. She has the courage to protect herself and the ability to alter Devlin's plans - and his life. The two are drawn together, each with reason to fear the other and to fear for one another. But as they grow closer, a larger threat imperils the whole of Faerie. Will saving the faery realm mean losing each other?

Yes, because you can relax and just listen.
This book series most resembles the book series: Switched.
The entire book was full of action and not any 1 part was my favorite.
This was a great read and definitely better than the 3rd book of the series.
This one in my opinion is the best of the series. I just started the last books so i'll let you know on that one.
Happiness is a good book!
All the books in this series are just wonderful. I have my favs of course but they are all worth the money. Ink Exchange was my favorite. I recommend them to anybody, they are so darn good!
I really didn't think that I was going to like this one. But I like it so much I listened to it twice right off. there is so much happening in this book you have to. Once it really gets going it doesn't stop till the end.
It would have been better if it hadn't been about characters I didn't care about. It annoys me how just about everything works out for the best for these characters.
Well, Darkest Mercy, but only because I want it all to be over.
The pronunciations, for sure. Also he has no idea how to say 'respite.' At all.
None I guess. Taking out anyone would make the story collapse.
I wish I cared about these stupid faeries.
i highly recommend this book to anyone who loves listening to fairy stories with an adult theme. I have really enjoyed this series and waiting eagerly for the last book which i kno should be out soon. i highly recommend the whole Wicked Lovely series. i am going to listen to them again before listening to the last book when it comes out, as its been a while since listening to the whole series.
