Too short.

I was amazed when the story ended so abruptly. I was really starting to get into it then I hear "This is Audible". WHAT?
I just love the narrator though.

Great beginning

I'd like to know what happens next or what happened in between. There's so much missing.

Cool free listen

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes it's a nice prequel novella that is very interesting

Which scene was your favorite?

It's short so really the whole thing was enjoyable

Any additional comments?

This is a short prequel and it doesn't answer much just gives the listener a quick bite to get them interested in the story, I will definitely be buying the rest of the books in the future.

Haunting

If you could sum up My Soul to Lose in three words, what would they be?

Getting other books

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Aunt was my favorite character because she seemed so nonchalant.

Which scene was your favorite?

The last scene was my favorite with the girl "taking too much".

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes

Any additional comments?

Now, I must read the other 2-3 books in the series!

Very good lead in to series

This novella shows a brief glimpse into Kaylee's life before she knew the truth about her history and her powers. What could be more frightening than have your world turn upside down and be assaulted with a terrifying reality. Perhaps only waking up in a mental health hospital chained to a bed with no memory of arrival. Feeling lost and alone and betrayed by family- Kaylee has to figure out how to best navigate this situation as well as try to figure out whether she is actually crazy or why her panic attacks turn her world upside down.

I like it, but I’m still confused on what happened and why

The narrator of this story is great, but the book ended before I understood what happened. I’m sure it is to hook the reader into the series.

a fun short supernatural story

as far as free audiobooks go, this one is harmless. it paints a vivid picture of anxeity and unexplained horror.

Pros:
Free
Short
The less it explains the creepier it feels
A good sense of paranoia and clausterphobia

Cons:
Ending is a little bit of a let down
Needed a tiny bit more meat on the character interactions
Some of the "snarky" dialogue feels forced and unfunny.

hey it's free, would recommend
