An inside view

I thought this was a good look into why some people might find themselves in need of help. In a comic book some things described as super powers, in real life is described as insane. This book takes a look at the gifted struggle.
It can also, if you use your imagination because it's not implied, shed light on the pain Christ may have suffered on the cross when He took our place.

Intriguing read

I don’t like to give spoilers on the books that I read. I believe the blurb on the back is enough for you to decide if you will read the book or not. If you choose to read, enjoy!

Good, but I feel left hanging.

The narrator was great and I really got sucked in to the characters story, but I guess I failed to realize that this was just a prequel, so I was left with a wtf feeling. So you will want to keep on with the series. Otherwise great but hoy, just what I need another series...

A Dark Tale

*** WARNING MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS***
OVERALL=A Short Dark Tale that explains Nothing, although I’m pretty sure I know where it is heading. The ending, heck the whole story, is nothing but questions without answers. I was left largely unsatisfied as an avid Reader/Listener, so consider yourself forewarned.

FULL REVIEW
A very strange, short, dark tale, what is madness? What is sanity? What if What You saw, no one else did, and You knew with every fiber of your being, what you saw was real? What would happen if you weren’t in control of Your own voice? If the sounds that came out of your mouth, seemed to have a mind of their own? A dark mind, connected directly to other people, complete strangers, and possibly their fate?

This tale surrounds a teenage girl, who has “panic attacks” in which she screams, when one day at the mall, she is struck by one of her attacks so strongly (after seeing a kid in a wheelchair with shadows surrounding him), that she begins to scream and doesn’t stop until she is passed out, and even then, she attempts to fight her own scream. The unsurprising result is that she ends up in an inpatient care facility talking to psychologists, longing to go home, and trying to keep herself from ending up potentially permanently committed or drugged out of her mind by way of ‘treatment.’

I haven’t read ahead or any other books by this author at this point, but I can tell you this, where I believe the story is going. I’m pretty sure the main character is a Banshie without realizing it, and as such, when ever she sees someone who is fated to die, she lets out an uncontrollable Banshie Wail, beyond that, I don’t know what will happen next...Not sure I’ll read the authors future or other books, as this one just left me unsatisfied, so good luck to you if you do.

Confused

I mean. I'm confused. The writing is really good.
I'm not sure if the part at the end is a sexual metaphor or what.
I really didn't like how the psychic hospital was portrayed. It is not a prison and you can leave. And any good psychiatrist or therapist wouldn't be so apathetic. Also they don't keep you in hospital for 2 weeks if you don't want to be there unless you're actively trying to hurt people.
On a different note why is this rated as "steamy"?

So creepy

A teenage girl who thinks she’s having panic attacks. But is she? And why does she know when someone is dying? Excellent story and excellent narration!
