Publisher's summary

Loving Angel isn't easy. Actually, it's downright exhausting, but somehow she weaseled her way into my life. She has become my everything - my reason for existing - my reason for breathing. I love the ever-loving crap out of Angel Eyes. There is nothing I wouldn't endure for her - even college.

College. Ugh.

I hope the frat boys, the jocks, and the nerds are prepared for what is about to embark on their school this fall. Half-demons. Hunters. And um, the Keystone? Yeah, that is going to take getting used to.

We aren't exactly your average freshman. And somehow I find myself stuck with a bunch of troublesome females to look after. Angel. Emma. Lexi. Pretty sure I got the raw end of the stick.

But that isn't the worst of it. There is someone lurking in the shadows - spying and stalking my girlfriend. He is a dead man. How many people am I going to have to kill for this girl? A better question would be how many people wouldn't I kill for her?

As many as it took.

Angel is about to experience betrayal of the worst kind. And this time, it's not entirely my fault. Shocker.

Could not listen

Buyer Beware! Please, please, please listen to the sample before buying! This review in no way has anything to do with the actual story. The narrator's voice/vocal interpretation immediately took me out of the story. It in no way reminded me of our fun, bad ass but lovable demon boy. It seemed all demon and all creepy. I hope the digital is better.

Love the series, but...

I'm all for the book being from his point of view but this narrator was HORRIBLE!! If I weren't already into the series I wouldn't have made it through! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if a man reads the next one pick anyone but this guy!

Love the story not the narrator

I really wish they wouldn't keep changing the narrators. it sounds better when a female narrates it. this guy drag it out for hours. the story was good I love the whole storyline but the narrator made it terrible

Disappointing, and really creepy narrator

I loved the previous books, but I had to force myself to finish this one. First of all, the guy's voice was super creepy and scary, and I had to get the Kindle version instead. I tried the audible several times, but couldn't stand it. This is not how I pictured Chase sounding! Check out the preview before you get it.

Other than that, there wasn't the same attraction between Chase and Angel, and I didn't really like hearing the story from Chase's point of view. The ending was not satisfying. It's meant to be a cliffhanger, but it left me glad that it was over and not caring about reading the final book (though I probably will eventually, and hope it's more like the previous books).

Getting a little long...

Still love chase, but feel the story is getting a little too long. Loved the narrator of the previous books, but this guys voice scared the crap out of me!

Excellent Series

What made the experience of listening to Loving Angel the most enjoyable?

I couldn't help but love the characters and craved the knowledge of what would happen to them.

What aspect of Alexander F. Lewis’s performance would you have changed?

The performance by the readers of the other books in the series was enthralling, but I found Alexander's performance less enticing.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely. The who series was.

Any additional comments?

I just wish the last book was on audible. It was such a good series as soon as I finished this audible book I had to buy the last book on my kindle to read it.

Don't waste your time on this one

I loved this series until I got to this book. The narrator totally sucks! It was impossible to tell one character from the next & his tone was so condescending & boring. He speaks super slow thru a lot of the book. I spent money on this one as it wasn't part of the romance package, but I completely wasted my money. Don't waste your time.

Outstanding!

Author J.L. Weil (Jennifer Weil) has really outdone herself again! I love that she chose to write the story in Chase's POV. We all love Chase and his awesomeness HOTNESS. I love the authors take on demons. She has written in some great characters and always there's the not so great characters we hate. In this story there's a few new characters, mainly one that can hurt Angel in a bad way. Angel's entire existence and her soul is at risk. I don't think Angel will ever be the same again. I don't think Chase can save Angel from herself, not this time. I love the author and her Divisa stories but in Loving Angel she left us with with a cliffhanger and I find those horrific. Yet, the story is great. Its college time and the only one staying behind is Travis, Emma is even going. They all found a place to live together. Since leaving Spring Valley Chase has felt uneasy and arriving to their new home, he still feels someone is watching. Angel isn't acting like herself, her eyes aren't even right. She seems to do strange things and finds herself in places, not knowing how she got there. She's different and not in a good way, she's turning evil, She can even call those in Hell, including hellhounds. She's transforming and not in a good way. Will Chase be able to save his Angel? I guess we'll have to wait on the 5th Divisa story to find out. I don't even know If it will be available on audio format. If it isn't I will most likely scream first, throw things next, and finally I'll cry. I can't believe it, a cliffhanger, the first damn cliffhanger and I never saw it coming. Okay Jennifer, you got us all, so please write the 5th book fast and add it to Audible.

Narrator, Alexander F. Lewis did a good job with Loving Angel. The female voices could've been better but overall he did good. I felt like as he went on in the story he seemed to get more comfortable. I won't lie, he needs to work on accents, male, and especially the female voices and accents.
