Pretty good sequel

This book is probably worth reading if you liked the first book. Too few mysteries revealed too late for my taste...in retrospect I would have waited a few years and listened to this when the next in the series comes out so I could listen to them in a row. But I like Tris and the world in which she lives.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for using the same narrator. I hate listening to sequels of books that have a different narrator every time. This is probably one of my most favorite audio books of all times because of this simple fact.

I honestly can't think of any book that comes anywhere near this amazing book

I love Tris; for her strength, her bravery, her selflessness, she everything I strive to be

Yes, I would listen again to this as it was so enjoyable and I love how everything was brought to life.

Red Queen, just 'cause it's full of action on every page!

No this was the first and only audio book that listened to by Emma, but she told this books story amazing

Like Book 1, Divergent, this had me on the edge of my seat. I love the characters and the story is just genius. I enjoyed the narrator as well.

What did you love best about Insurgent?

Everything... I loved how it started off right where Divergent left off. I love the relationship between Tris and Four (Tobias), how its not all sunshine and rainbows, but how they are different people who aren't so afraid of being themselves, no matter what that may mean to their relationship. Its a much more realistic relationship than most YA novels. I love the twists and turns and betrayals and unlikely/uneasy alliances..even if I did predict most of them in advance. I loved the big reveal at the end, that I had also predicted. (think "The Village" by M. Night Shyamalan.)

What was one of the most memorable moments of Insurgent?

There isn't any one single thing that comes to mind. I guess most would feel that the most memorable would be finding out who the traitors really are, or the big reveal ending...

What about Emma Galvin’s performance did you like?

I just LOVE her narration. She puts a lot of inflections into her delivery that really get the emotion of a moment across to the listener.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes. But I don't want to give away any spoilers!

I'm a 35 yr old woman, and I LOVE these books (Divergent and Insurgent) sooo much! I cannot wait for the third installment - even if it will be the last. The world and characters within the world created here fascinate me and move me. Veronica Roth is very talented and I cannot wait to read her books for many years to come!

Surging to the third

As soon as I finished Divergent, I was straight onto Insurgent. It is predictable as others have said and you do get over the romance scenes. However, it is still awesome and I’m counting down to the third. The only thing I didn’t see coming. Even though it was in the back of my mind was the betrayal of one of the characters and the shocking cliff-hanger. If you’re not already a divergent fan, now is the time to start! It’s a book for all ages. It’ll keep you on your toes every moment and keep you awake all night. It’s just go the entire time and just wicked! I’m counting down to the next release to see what happens next! I hope they don’t kill off any more of the good characters and that the pace and story is just as good as these two!

Surprisingly good

I usually don't read teen fiction as I'm way past my teen years, but this was entertaining.
It met my expectations.

Where does Insurgent rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is only the second audio book I have listened to, after listening to Divergent- Book 1 with my daughter I was hooked and signed up for Audible myself to listen to Insurgent-Book 2. The story was fast paced and intriguing with the narrator's voice very much like what I would imagine the main character would sound like.
