Publisher's summary

Wendy Darling has a perfectly agreeable life with her parents and brothers in wealthy London, as well as a budding romance with Booth, the neighborhood bookseller's son. But one night, while their parents are at a ball, the charmingly beautiful Peter Pan comes to the Darling children's nursery, and - dazzled by this flying boy with god-like powers - they follow him out of the window and straight on to morning into Neverland, an intoxicating island of freedom.

As time passes in Neverland, Wendy realizes that this Lost Boy's paradise of turquoise seas, mermaids, and pirates holds terrible secrets rooted in blood and greed. As Peter's grasp on her heart tightens, she struggles to remember where she came from - and begins to suspect that this island of dreams, and the boy who desires her, have the potential to transform into an everlasting nightmare.

Wendy

I loved this portrayal of the classic Peter Pan. It was beautifully told by Fiona. I am excited to keep listening.

Good Read

I had high expectations from this author after the Queen of Hearts Series which remains one of the best teen books I've ever read. I recommend it to all my students. Although this account of Peter Pan is riveting it's not on the same level of writing. It lacks suspense. I can't decided if I want to read the next in this series because I wasn't in love with this story line.

Nice Retelling for Peter Pan Lovers

Finally I got a Peter Pan retelling that's not Neverland into Ashes.. it's all about Wendy Darling and Peter Pan..
The series opens with the Darling family, the father believes that there is something special about the second star to the right (which is weird because usually its the mother who believes) and he tries to show his children what he means ( Wendy 16, John 13/14 and Michael 5 ) but little did they know a great adventure was waiting for them when Peter Pan comes to them from the window and promises them the adventure of their lifetime, and they will return by the time for bed .. they never expect to get more than they bargained for .. and the adventures begin
I should also say Wendy is aged up to be 16 years old and she is in love with a guy named Booth, but he is in a lower social standing than her family and basically their relationship is impossible, and that what made her want to escape her life, I have to say the ending was really abrupt that I felt the breaks squeaked in my brain .. what just happened?
I'm excited to see what will happen next
