loved storyline

I was particularly interested in this novel because it picked up on characters from my favorite Jenny Frame novel, Unexpected. But it was really hard to listen. Even if I weren't so used to having Nicola Victoria Vincent reading Ms Frame's novels, I would still hate the narration. The accent sounded so fake and jarring it spoilt it for me.

Great story, narration could’ve been better

Not horrid narration but the accents were horrid. Dale sounded like she was from India when she’s supposed to be Scottish. I’ve listened to other books with this reader and didn’t mind her (I’ve most definitely heard worse) but she’s not victoria Nicole Vincent. The story was awesome, I loved that! Still worth the credit/money for that.

Loved it! Now on Team Trent

First let me say that when I first learned that there would be a sequel to Expected focusing on Trent, I was a bit disappointed. Trent was not a character that I liked so didn’t see myself connecting with her story. I was totally incorrect. I absolutely loved this story!! Jenny Frame made me understand her behavior and really care about her. Trent and Wendy are an adorable couple and their love story captured my heart-Alice & Noah completed the package 😀. I also enjoyed seeing Dale and Becca again. The narration was good with the exception of the Scottish accent. The narrator did a great job with Trent and Wendy’s voices but was spotty with Dale’s Scottish accent. However, it didn’t take away how great this story was. It takes a talented writer to make readers connect and care about a character that was no where close to being liked in a previous story. Bravo Jenny Frame!! I’m firmly on Team Trent 😀👍🏾

Love all

Jenny writes about real life situations. This book was so riveting that I was finding excuses to drive around because, that is when I listen to my e books. All these rich lesbians though.

The Narration…

I’m sorry. I hate to be a hater. I truly do but… the narration sounds like AI, delivered by a robot on valium. The attempt at a Scottish accent (I assume it was Scottish but it came across more as Romanian, translating English via Wales) was SO bad, so horrible, so utterly cringe, I actually had to pause the story and take a few deep breaths. Aaaaaaaaaaaargg! I swear I wouldn’t write this unless it truly was that bad.

Narrator was not a good choice

I loved all the Jenny Frame books, unexpected was an awesome listen. This book was not the case. The accents were hard to listen to and follow who was who. Everyone almost sounded the same. The story line was alright. It was tiring that Trent has pined for Becca for so long so continues to day dream. It was hard to get through the book.

First time reading this Author

Cute little story. Predictable outcome. There needed to be more drama and conflict to build the relationship between the two women. Narrarator was wonderful.

fantastic story, narration??

I love all of Jenny frames works either audio or book. that being said, they switched narrators for this book. it was well enough, just lacked something without the voice of the normal voice performer.
