Publisher's summary

Set after the fourth season of the groundbreaking television drama Sons of Anarchy, from the mind of Executive Producer Kurt Sutter....

With half of the club recently released from Stockton State Penitentiary and the Galindo drug cartel bringing down heat at every turn, the MC already has its hands full. Yet Jax Teller, the VP of SAMCRO, has another problem to deal with. He just learned that his Irish half-sister Trinity has been in the US for months entangled with Russian BRATVA gangsters. Now that she's abruptly gone missing, he's sure the brewing mafia war is connected to her disappearance. Jax heads to Nevada with Chibs and Opie to search for her and seek revenge. Trinity may be half-Irish, but she's also half-Teller, and where Teller's go, trouble follows.

should read in person. no insult to reader

This could have been a episode or a part of season. The writer makes a few critical mistakes that makes you wonder if he has watched the SOA series. He has CHibbs cal Jaxx Jacky we all know he always called him Jacky boy as a term of endearment. Since I am an avid fan of the show. It was hard to listen to someone read the book for me. When Jaxx spoke it wasn't his voice samething with all the characters. If I read it I would have heard their voices. I could picture their movements as if it was on the screen. The book was a solid story line and if you are a SOA fan you have to give it a read or listen. This was great to find as I miss the show so much. I wish they could do more books since they are not making more shows. a throw back to Jaxx and Opie prospecting growing up would be awesome.

narrator

I have to say the narrator totally ruined it for me. I had a really hard time getting into the story because of it.

Slow starting outbut ended up being a great story.

Was a little slow at first and the narrators character voices took getting use to. But once the rhythm was found it turned out to be a good story. I enjoyed it.

Nowhere near as good as the show.

It was definitely am someone else's story rather than a Kurt Sutter. The characters didn't seem the same and their actions didn't match what you would expect.
That being said, separate it from the original show and it's not a bad story.

I think my biggest issue, the narrator making Jax sound like Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry

It doesn’t take place after season 4…..

Someone is an idiot. This takes place in the middle of season 4. Jax is still VP, by the end of 4 Jax has Clay’s flash and clay is in the hospital. Most likely takes place between episodes 4 and 5 if you want to make sense of it. The narrator sucks, over does it. The story however, is pretty good despite a slow start. If you love sons of anarchy and thirst for more content give it a listen- it’s not flawless like the SoA you’re used to but it will pass the time while you sit at your desk.
