Magnificent Book!

Amazing true biker stories that all of us that ride wish we could've experienced. Excellent count of a time that no longer exists. Highly recommend!

Hands down the best biker book ever written!

I've read almost all of them, and yes, this is by far the most adventurous, clever and fun. The focus here is on personal freedom and the memory of freedom. Freedom of responsiblity and the hilarity of irresponsibility and it's sometimes dire consequences.

If you are looking for a book on open space and free will, this....this is the one.

A True Biker Classic

If you have a biker soul, if your pulse speeds up just a bit anytime you hear that unmistakable exhaust of a motorcycle, and if you never feel as right as you do when you're on 2 wheels and in the wind then this book is for you. Not for the faint of heart or easily offened, fair warning there is foul language, violence and debauchery. Dale Arenson's recount of adventures past reminds us of that great AMA issued statement that 99% of motorcyclists are law abiding citizens, and it is merely 1% that are not. I'm not ashamed to say I fall into the former. You don't need to belong to the latter group to understand the freedom Arenson describes or the love of bike, brotherhood and road. You just need to be open minded to the respect these as well as many other experiences like them deserve in order to breathe in the life and vitality poured into each chapter. For all the riders who know there is no better way to live, it's worth the listen and the read. Keep the shiny side up!

Relic of a past era

This book is filled to the brim with stories from an American West that no longer exists, and the characters described are men that were a driving force behind the image of "Biker" we still know today. If you love motorcycle stories, long trips, and a bit of fist fights, you will absolutely love this audiobook.

I really enjoy the content. Old school history of an era that I just think is cool AF.

OUTSTANDING!!

As an avid HD rider whose father was a member of an outlaw club in the same era, this reminds me of stories I was told growing up. I have listened to this a dozen times and I love how these stories are shared without ego. I just love this book and how the author portrays each event.
