Publisher's summary

This Sky Brooks bundle includes books one through four.

Moon Tortured: The Midwest Pack has three goals: Protect the pack. Protect the pack. And yeah, protect the pack. I have my own goal: Live a simple life and hope no one ever discovers that the quiet young woman next door turns into a wolf.

Darkness Unchained: Just survive. That's been my goal since uncovering a dangerous secret: I died at birth and became host to a very powerful spirit shade. Now I have the rare ability to manipulate magic - an ability some would kill for.

Midnight Falls: My life will never be simple again. As a werewolf who is a host to a powerful spirit shade, I possess the ability to manipulate magic, among other things - and that means I have many enemies. In need of allies, I join the Midwest Pack.

Lunar Marked: The Midwest Pack used the Clostra to perform a powerful and dangerous spell to save me. Now the pack is dealing with the aftermath and doing damage control. But they can't hide how the magic has changed the dynamics of the otherworld - or that they are responsible.

Slow and drawn out

The world the story takes place in kool but the books feel like they just don’t get to a point. No romance and half of everything is a mystery after two and a half books. I just can’t finish them even when I cut the speed of the reading up.

Struggled to finish

I like the idea of the world, and the story itself, but the main character is hard to like. I don't see any growth from her over the 4 books. The narrator was not a good fit. I should not have to speed the book up to stay awake. When the narrator adds any emotion it feels like it happens out of nowhere. I loved the Raven Cursed series, so this was disappointing.

Good story, bad narrator

Narrator speaks too slowly in a monotone voice. Also sounds like her nose is stuffy.

Bad voice.

I finally stopped listening because the voice was driving me crazy. Her voice is ok but she puts some kind of tone or mannerism in her voice that hurt to listen to. Difficult to explain.

love the story but the annoying nasal sound...

love the overall story and premise BUT the nasal sound to her voice drives me insane!!! she sounds like she is picking her nose the entire time she is reading... ugh and all the voices sound the same so you never know which character is talking because she either gives way to long of a pause or no pause at all. could have been done so much better

I would have given a higher score but...

When the books start, the narrator sounds like she has a horrible cold or needs to blow her nose. It was distracting and annoying. By the end of the first book she gets better, thank goodness. My other beef with her is that she mispronounces words wrong and does it consistently. I wish the editor would have fixed it. But, perhaps the editor was illiterate as well. I guess I shouldn't complain. It was free.
