Beautiful story
Loved the music! Such a treat with an audiobook. When I first read about the vocal instrumentation, I wanted to hear a sample of what it sounded like because I had never heard of such a thing. It really added to the story. The entire pieces included at the end were wonderful.

Amazing Story Told Incredibly Well
I think this book was incredible! The narration performance by Laura Carmichael was outstanding! Truly…all the characters and various accents were done so well and she has a beautiful tone to her voice. I can’t recommend this book enough! Bravo, Heather Morris!

Such bravery and sacrifices to their fellow retainees.
So sad and yet so uplifting. One can not imagine how they survived this ordeal. It’s how to believe anyone could treat their fellow man so terrible.

The strength of women
I liked hearing about the relationship which developed among the women and the strength they got from music and singing. I was amazed at their strength in standing g up to the Japanese soldiers. Grateful to Heather Morris for the recognition these women are long overdue.
