Story
Within this book lies the key to unlocking that door that holds the dark shadows hostage. As you walk deep into the shadows, you’ll be able to physically grab hold of the bad energy that causes stress, anxiety, depression, fear, and pain, and release it out of the closet of darkness. Around the corridor is the shadows consciousness where you’ll face the challenges that you gave up on years ago, where all those decisions have shaped you into the person you are today. Downstairs is where you look darkness in the face; and scare fear away.

Story
Everybody has inner demons: a dark side hidden under the social mask you wear every day: an impulsive, hurt, sad, or isolated part that you generally ignore. Sometimes, you glimpse a small part of it; other times, you witness the chaos it generates in your life, but most of the time, you try to ignore its existence out of fear, guilt, or shame. In Jungian psychology, this unconscious aspect of the personality that the conscious ego does not identify is called the Shadow.

Story
In six lectures, Dr. Shumway and Dr. Wendler will help you understand the nature of neurodiversity, a growing school of thought that seeks to embrace the range of differences in individual brain function and behaviors rather than “correct” them, with a focus on empathy, acceptance, and accommodation.

The guests range from super celebs (Jamie Foxx, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc.) and athletes (icons of powerlifting, gymnastics, surfing, etc.) to legendary Special Operations commanders and black-market biochemists. For most of my guests, it’s the first time they’ve agreed to a two-to-three-hour interview.

Story
Dr. Ross Greene, a distinguished clinician and pioneer in the treatment of kids with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, has worked with thousands of explosive children, and he has good news: these kids aren't attentionseeking, manipulative, or unmotivated, and their parents aren't passive, permissive disciplinarians. Rather, explosive kids are lacking some crucial skills in the domains of flexibility/adaptability, frustration tolerance, and problem solving, and they require a different approach.

Informative
I really liked this book. It helped me understand some issues I need help with. That I cannot do this on my own. Than I was able to identify some of the things I thought was normal to feel and think but turn and find out that it is my self-esteem and coping mechanism I use to keep me from getting hurt. I need that you did great, good job to make me feel like I am good at something. With having an illness that has changed my life has dropped my self-esteem down more and I feel like I cannot do a lot of things this book helped me understand that I still can.

Good Book
This is a great book. After listening to this book, I have learned that it's okay to focus on one's self care and confront issues that can have a huge impact on one's emotions, mental health, and even physical health. Shadow work takes courage and bravery to look at and explore a person's personality and behavior.
