Publisher's summary

Just when she's finally figured out how to manage on her own, Jill Murray's ex-husband, Seth, is back - crashing into the man-free existence Jill and her 10-year-old daughter, Anastasia, have built so carefully. Jill's life just hasn't turned out quite the way she'd planned. By now, she'd hoped to be jetting around the world as a high-end cultural coach. Instead, she's answering phones for a local travel agency and teaching cooking classes at the community center.

Enter free-spirited entrepreneur Billy who hires Jill as a consultant for an upcoming business trip. Suddenly, her no-boys-allowed life is anything but. They say that every seven years you become a completely new person, but Jill isn't sure she's ready to make the leap. It takes a Costa Rican getaway to help her make a choice - not so much between the two men in her life, but between the woman she is and the woman she wants to be.

Easy Read

This was a quick & easy read. Very informative on different cultures & their food. Character was easy to like but she got on my nerves a little bit her making a daughter her whole life.

Ending was rushed

I liked most of the book until the trip to Costa Rica. It got so detailed on the trip to Costa Rica I was really bored and felt like skipping ahead. The ending left so many questions I felt like this was a series.

I don’t know why the negative reviews

This was a good story told by an awesome narrator. Overall, the book kept my interest and entertained me. I am not sure why there were negative reviews, but I’m glad I ignored them.

Basically a travel guide but is enticing enough .

...to visit the places she described. A keeper! I would read more of her journeys!

Too mundane

Too much unnecessary detail. Too much inner dialog and rambling from the main character.

Too neurotic to enjoy

I get that her life hasn't been easy, but she certainly goes out of her way to make it harder on herself by way overthinking everything. The inside of her brain (which comprises most of the story) is exhausting. Not an enjoyable listen.
