Jack thinks this will be a nice little diversion for his crew...until a rosy-cheeked, lederhosen-wearing little psychopath named Evil Hansel stabs him with an oyster knife, and the whole situation goes completely to hell. Someone isn’t playing straight, and in a game of double crosses, Jack Price will do anything - literally, anything - to come out on top.

The story was written for the narrator.

I feel dirty and question my morals a bit saying that this was a fun story but it was. There is murder, mayhem and a LOT of cursing but it is just fun. Consider it escapism. I smiled and laughed through the entire story...with a few cringes.

Delightfully wacky dark-comedy/heist tale

I thoroughly enjoyed this offbeat story - due in large part to the awesome narration by Coulson, who I'd give a few extra stars if I could. Yes, the protagonist is a mostly-amoral fellow whose cohorts each have near-super-villain-level abilities in creative mayhem, but he's just so much fun to listen to... His mix of stream-of-consciousness/Buffy-speak is quite entertaining, and there are plenty of plot-twists to keep him and his Demons occupied. I couldn't help grinning at the turns of phrase and turns of fortune, and I hope we get more audiobooks about the Seven Demons.

I needed this

I had to go back several times because I laughed straight through important story moments. Christian Coulson's delivery of all of it is top tier.

Perfect narration for a quirky story

Fun listen. Christian Coulson does a brilliant job bringing an insanely immoral character to life.

What a Hoot!

I discovered Nick Harkaway aka Aiden Truhen earlier this year and he has quickly become my favorite author. He's a wonderfully entertaining writer and master story teller.

Seven Demons is fast, witty, funny, irreverent, audacious, engaging, totally over the top AND I loved every single minute of it.

Christian Coulson's had me laughing out loud throughout the entire 9 hours and 21 minutes. He should win some kind of award for his performance.

More! I need more!

Spellbinding

Ambiguity. The sexual tension between the words and their reader are not entirely consensual but, that, in and of itself, is where the exchange in righteous synergy occurs and everyone involved gets to say “yeah, that was great. I’d do that again”.

Can not recommend highly enough. I really hope they go back and record the first book, "The Price You Pay".

This was very good

Complex narrative. Lots of tongue in cheek. I started this twice but couldn't get into it right away. I'm so glad a tried again because I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
