I'm not much of a reader but I am a great listener. I like to listen to an audiobook before I decide its worth buying the book in print.
This audio book is a really nice read. it expands exponentially on Napoleon Hill's, "Three Feet From Gold". It has a cool story on how the author's over came their obstacles and turned them into many great opportunities. It has a lot of real world experiences with real successful people you can look up and verify. It was educational and a fun read.
I enjoyed the review of the principles of Think Grow Rich with its more present-day focus. I listen to an audiobook every week to two weeks because it's much more convenient than reading the books. What makes or breaks any audiobook is the presentation of the story or materials by the narrator. Frankly, this is the worst narration of any book I've listen to. I felt like the actor/narrator was trying to play the role of every different character. It was so disruptive. I found myself focused on what the narration. When he tried to imitate women it sounded like a totally effeminate man and I just found it very very distracting to the material. I found the material terrific and I really was enjoying the material at times but I just couldn't deal with the narration. I've never complained about an audiobook before and I've listened to 100-150, but if I were the publisher of this audiobook I would absolutely go back and have it narrated by somebody that can remain neutral or enhance the material, he's not Orson Welles. I really wanted to listen to this a bunch of times and let the info sink in but I just couldn't listen to it anymore. I ended up just deleting it and buying the book...very disappointing. As I listened to the story of how long and hard the process was of writing this book and then struggling for years to get a publisher it is hard to imagine how this final product was found even remotely acceptable.
This book have change my life. In so many ways my thinking was always negative because of what I been threw. I have forgave people I thought I could never forgive. I learned so much about me threw others as well as my self. This was the best book besides the bible I have read. I am more positive then I ever have been in my life. I have shared this book with so many people. I will never ever give up. It feels so good to know that I am not the only person that think like this. Thank you for this book it's what this world needs right now. Priceless this is a gold mine. And it am three feet from my Gold.
In an entertaining way a story of obstacles leads the way to inner victory.
Yes, The way the story was told held my attention like no other book.
When everything came together for the main character. I look forward to listening to this again.
I can't remember his name but the one who was making everything happen. He left his Jacket that started everything.
Never Give UP!!!
When you are discouraged, read this book again.
I would listen to Three Feet from Gold, again and again and again..... The book has life-changing values.
I'm finding it hard to find one particular portion of the book I like the best because the book was just perfect all the way around it kept my attention it was life-changing this is a book that I will keep forever and pass down to family and friends indefinitely.
His ability to change his voice according to the character as well as his ability to keep the interest of the listener
