True joy and happiness are valuable.
If one does not survive, no joy and no happiness are obtainable. Trying to survive in a chaotic, dishonest, and generally immoral society is difficult.
Any individual or group seeks to obtain from life what pleasure and freedom from pain that they can. Your own survival can be threatened by the bad actions of others around you.
Your own happiness can be turned to tragedy and sorrow by the dishonesty and misconduct of others.
I am sure you can think of instances of this actually happening. Such wrongs reduce one's survival and impair one's happiness.
You are important to other people. You are listened to. You can influence others.
The happiness or unhappiness of others you could name is important to you.
Without too much trouble, using this book, you can help them survive and lead happier lives.
While no one can guarantee that anyone else can be happy, their chances of survival and happiness can be improved. And with theirs, yours will be.
It is in your power to point the way to a less dangerous and happier life.

This book really is a guide to better living.
It has made a profound and stabilizing effect on my life.
I would call it a "happiness formula."
I recommend it for everyone because in my view, anyone could do with an increase of happiness!
Having been a business owner for nearly thirty years, trying to operate in the current economic environment can be quite depressing to say the least. Having to let long time employees go, sales dropping to levels of fifteen years ago, gas again back to $4.00 a gallon, etc., I found it more and more difficult to find happiness.
However, after listening to this common sense guide to happy living I now find that happiness is actually attainable and by striving to incorporate these guides into my life I find that happiness can be had. This is a book that a person could and should listen to regularly as a reminder of why happiness can allude them. I highly recommend this book to anyone searching for common sense solutions to the everyday problem of living.
So many books, so little time.
So simple and straightforward, and yet so incredibly helpful. These are basic principles which anyone can use, and (imho) which everyone should. Loved it.
Our public discourse has deteriorated because personal virtue and ethics have become old fashion! Very easy to resurrect these in one's own life and that of others with this brief reminder!
I'm aware or miracles from wide public use of this book.
