Publisher's summary

Perhaps no book in this generation has had a more profound impact on our intellectual and spiritual lives than The Road Less Traveled. With sales of more than 7 million copies in the United States and Canada, and translation into more than 23 languages, it has made publishing history, with more than 10 years on The New York Times best seller list.

Told in a voice that is timeless in its message of understanding, The Road Less Traveled continues to enable us to explore the nature of loving relationships and leads us toward a new serenity and fullness of life. It helps us determine how to distinguish dependency from love; how to become a more sensitive parent; and ultimately how to become one's own true self.

Recognizing that "Life is difficult" and that the journey to spiritual growth is a long one, Dr. Peck never bullies his listeners, but gently guides them through the hard and often painful process of change toward a higher level of self-understanding.

Combining profound psychological insight and deep spirituality, this is an audiobook that provides inspiration and understanding.

incredible, life changing philosophy

This book is of highest level of philosophy, conveyed in simplest terms, very relatable. My one complaint is that the author's reading style doesn't match his passion for this subject, which is clearly his life's work (to notify people that the ability to be God-like/in communion with the Holy is within each of us). His rendition reminds me of those informative kids' films in the seventies (This is Billy's liver). No matter; the gorgeousness of Peck's message transcends even a monotone performance.

Great substance … questionable audio quality

While I appreciate the author giving his own voice to this production, there seems to be a shadowing of the audio. The words are repeating in the background and distract from the message. I will be rereading this book but not using the audio for this reason.

Life Changing. Life Enhancing Growth for all who seek it.

I first read this book 35 years ago during a painful time. It helped me immensely and was a way to cope, heal and grow. Now during a new trying time I am finding this audiobook a great refreshing course. I will soon be feeling better. I won’t go so far as to say it’s as good as seeing a therapist but it seems very close. When I listen to it while driving to work each day I find a new sense of confidence and self love that inspires me to be more and do more. So glad to have rediscovered this masterpiece.

What is love? A very illuminating read.

I found this book to be very insightful. Scotts wealth of experience coupled with presumably diligently sought insights into the human experience allowed a level of introspection and self awareness not previously experienced. recommended reading for one and all.

A bit new age

He does really well to tie in a lot of concepts together in his worldview , but it can be a bit of a stretch at times . Good book however there a are some definite gems of wisdom in there .
