Through quizzes and case studies listeners begin by developing their understanding both of what confidence really means and how they perceive themselves within their professional and personal lives. The plan gives a clear framework in which listeners work through exercises as they develop techniques to build their confidence and plan strategies to suit their own needs. Since setbacks are inevitable, listeners also learn how to respond to them so they maintain a positive frame of mind as they build their confidence to make the most of opportunities in all areas of their lives.

"A helpful reminder"
I purchased this audiobook the day before attending an important job interview. My confidence was waivering slightly and I felt that I needed a bit of a boost. Whilst most of the content of this audiobook wasn't entirely appropriate to my situation, a couple of the points raised were. In fact, I quoted a sentence from the book during my interview and was told afterwards that this had really impressed the panel.
I think there's a lot of advice contained in this audiobook for all kinds of instances when confidence is shaky, but particularly for people who are never particularly confident. The author's voice (as narrator) reminds me a bit of the old 'Listen with Mother' broadcasts on BBC radio, but otherwise is quite pleasing to listen to.
As it's a short audiobook in length, I would recommend it for use as a quick reminder, which is what I intend to use it for from now on. In that respect, I think it's earned its 4 star rating!
PS I got the job!
