What if conflicts at home, conflicts at work, and conflicts in the world stem from the same root cause? What if we systematically misunderstand that cause? And what if, as a result, we systematically perpetuate the very problems we think we are trying to solve?
From the authors of Leadership and Self-Deception comes an international best seller that instills hope and inspires reconciliation. Through a moving story of parents who are struggling with their own children and with problems that have come to consume their lives, we learn from once-bitter enemies the way to transform personal, professional, and global conflicts, even when war is upon us.

There are insights and lessons on every page. if you're struggling with anything or even if you think you're not - this book will open your eyes to opportunities, purpose, direction and most importantly - the kind of lasting happiness that comes with real peace.
This was a profoundly wonderful book and I truly believe that there is no one who wouldn't benefit from what it has to teach. Inspirational, thought provoking, and applicable to all of our lives in so many ways. I strongly urge everyone who has the opportunity to read or listen to this book to do so. A+++++
Wonderful story, which effectively draws one into self-reflection. This book powerfully teaches the timeless truth that we can only change ourselves, but by doing so, with a peaceful heart, we can contribute to changing the world around us.
Performance: Having listened to audio books for 30 years, this is BY FAR the best performance ever. There is no adequate comparison with the other 599 titles or the printed version. The narrator's skill at representing various characters is exceptional. It seems 10 people are in the recording studio. In fact, this is the only audiobook I've ever listened to again immediately after finishing. I would have given 6-stars for performance if possible.
Story: It's 5-star . . . but not 6. There is good reason for unfavorable reviews. The material doesn't suit everyone. Life experience, expectation, and "grumpiness quotient" count heavily. If you're on the "flower child" side of the spectrum rather than "gestapo," you'll like the story.
Overall: Remember this is a fictional story, *NOT* a textbook. There are valuable take-aways based on how you see the world. Listeners bring a partially filled canvas on which they are painted. As Obi-Wan Kenobi said, "Many of the truths we cling to depend greatly upon our own point of view." Overall it is OUTSTANDING!
Seriously, one of the best books I have read in a very, very long time. In my top 3. Seriously, if you're interested in a life free of detrimental self-fulfilling prophecies that harm our happiness and relations with others, this is a must read. The writing is fantastic as it's told in a story format which was super interesting, and a more invigorating way to receive the self-growth messaging. Loved it!
I would recommend this book to anyone ready to take an active role in changing his or her life. Also to anyone who feels hurt and is seeking peace.
I love the way the authors taught the concepts of the book via a storyline instead of traditional teaching. This method allows you to engage and reflect and relate to the need for the lessons in the book.
I love the way it told a story while teaching me very important concepts! the characters really helped me see where I was falling into the justification boxes
