As a professor and student-affairs professional for many years, I have worked with numerous college students in the academic environment who are not doing well in their classes. However, I know that most of these students do want college success. What is hindering them? A major trait these students are lacking is self-discipline. In this audiobook I discuss self-discipline and why it has to be practiced if a student is to succeed in college and life. I touch on topics related to self-discipline, like ambition, persistence, sacrifice, and self-control, understanding that these related traits are vital in student motivation and success. I also reference effective study habits as well as personal goal setting. If you are looking for some insight on the importance and development of self-discipline, then this audiobook is for you.
