Great read!

It was well written and I found that lessons in the book could apply to high schoolers as well. Being a good intern is important to show potential future employers what they could get as a full time hire. Ask questions and learn what you can.

A Solid Book explaining how to be a better scholar

I have gone into this book mostly just expecting a summary of the author's engineering school journey, and I ended up really learning how he managed to turn around his mentality to pass with flying colors from a seemingly hopeless situation. I am just about to graduate high school, and I am so glad to have found this little gem to prepare for my Mechanical Engineering degree, I really hope I can use this book to learn from him and apply it to my academic career, as well as life in general.

Past engineering student

Becoming an Engineer is an accurate depiction of the struggles and hard lessons learned that every single engineering student has to go through and learn but the lessons and tips that Jake Ryland give in the book are not only crucial, they are necessary. Listening to this book brought back so many feelings and memories from engineering school. Those feelings where I was feeling like I couldn’t do engineering because it was too hard but my memories are thinking of all the hard classes I accomplished which now two years in my engineering career seems like a long time ago. Engineering school is hard but it is you can do it with this book.

Great package

I wish I’d had a resource like this when I went to school. I’m thankful I found it for my son, it covers all the concepts he needs to hear from an “expert”!
