For most of us, dating is often confusing, frustrating, and frightening. We look for the right person in bars, at school, at parties, and on Internet dating sites. But what happens when we find the right partner? Sixty percent of marriages end in divorce, and only one or two percent experience the fulfillment both partners once hoped for. We need much more than another way to meet people. We need to learn how to create the loving and richly rewarding relationships we all want.
In Real Love in Dating, you will learn: what we all need most before we can be genuinely happy is Real Love, unconditional love; what we substitute for Real Love, and how that Imitation Love destroys relationships; how we behave when we do not feel loved unconditionally, and how those Getting and Protecting Behaviors make us miserable and tear our relationships apart; how to find the Real Love that will guarantee lasting and rewarding relationships; how to find and become the perfect partner, and how to build a great relationship and keep your perfect partner.

My second read/listen of this book. I first met Greg in his Phoenix seminar in mid 2005 and have read/listened to several of his books, including Real Love, his foundational book. In this book on dating Greg is as passionate and loving as ever. I've had the pleasure of seeing him in person in at least two events since 2005 and I've always been convinced that he stands as tall as and is as committed to unconditional love as were great men like Carl Rogers and Carl Jung. Further, he practices Real Love with everyone with whom I've seen him come in contact, including in his marriage to his loving wife Donna. By organizing many Real Love groups, by creating many forms of media and by speaking at least 1400 times on radio and TV, Greg has been a Loving Force for humanity and will surely be appropriately recognized as such.
Definitely, this book gave me a good perspective! Everyone should know about real love.
For more broader view on this subject I recommend reading Mastery Of Love by Don Miguel Ruiz.
Took me by surprise when talking about real love.
"Absolutely on the button, a MUST READ for 'daters'"
Yes yes and yes. I have bought and given out 6 copies, none have been returned unread. In fact, try as I might, no-one wants to give me any of the copies back :). It makes the perfect gift - no one I have bought it for has been in the least bit offended to receive it offended, it has been gladly received all round.
It explains why dating has been a minefield until now. AND how to do things For those starting out in dating, those who are going round the roundabout for more than the first time, and everyone in between who what to learn what it takes to find and be the partner you've always wanted.
Great. It is read a little faster than the other recordings I have listened to but that's great.
Listened to in one sitting on a long drive then listen to over and again. All makes so much sense but it's also all so powerfully new in its approach. A godsend.
Do you now anyone who has ever moaned about terrible / soul destroying / disappointing dating? Here is Their answer. And that person may be you.My son and his girlfriend are reading this together - for the second time (and I'm keeping a casual eye out for a hat to buy ...)
"Principles of Dating to find 'Real Love'"
This audiobook is an ESSENTIAL guide if you want to find lasting happiness within an intimate relationship. The audiobook shares valuable insight about how to date effectively & what to ask your potential partner to confirm if they have the qualities required to love unconditionally.
Im not looking to date anytime soon but was drawn to listen to the book & now see why. I have just come out of a relationship of over two years. Both of us tried the best we could to salvage what we had & rectify what had clearly died. It took courage to leave (for reasons shared in the audio), but I now know it was time for us both to move on. We were both a distraction for the other, preventing us finding the Real Love we both need. This audiobook gave me clarity that leaving the relationship was the most loving action to take.
