The Introvert Advantage

- Unabridged

-
Story
The Introvert Advantage dispels common myths about introverts - they’re not necessarily shy, aloof, or antisocial - and explains how they are hardwired from birth to focus inward, so outside stimulation such as chitchat, phone calls, parties, or office meetings can easily become "too much". Most importantly, it thoroughly refutes many introverts’ belief that something is wrong with them. Instead, it helps them recognize their inner strengths - their analytical skills, ability to think outside the box, and strong powers of concentration.

Story
Why have history's greatest minds - from George Washington to Frederick the Great to Ralph Waldo Emerson along with today's top performers, from Super Bowl-winning football coaches to CEOs and celebrities - embraced the wisdom of the ancient Stoics? Because they realize that the most valuable wisdom is timeless and that philosophy is for living a better life, not a classroom exercise. The Daily Stoic offers a daily devotional of Stoic insights and exercises, featuring all-new translations.

Great Tips for Vegetarians
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
yes, This book offers comprehensive guidance and great tips to vegetarians. The information shared answers most of the questions running through the minds of vegetarian people (especially on nutrition, recipes and children foods). This audiobook would therefore be of great assistance to my vegetarian friends and am sure they would like it as much as I did.
What did you like best about this story?
The recipes. We have tried most of them with my wife and they are so delicious and easy to prepare.
What about Lillie Ricciardi’s performance did you like?
The perfomance by Lillie was great with a smooth voice that made listening to be so enjoyable.
What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?
Homemade food for children is possible and very easy to do!
Any additional comments?
This book covers the entire world of nutrition for all ages including babies and toddlers. We have been trying to become complete vegetarians with my wife and it have not being easy. However, this book have assisted us much. The book is packed with comprehensive tips that have been easy to apply. We also have a small kid and we had been wondering what to do about her. This book gave us an insight on making our own homemade food for our baby with all the required nutritional supplements. We have also been able to incorporate enough proteins, iron and nutrition in our diet and this has made our bodies to be healthier.
Being a vegetarian, Kate uses her experience and knowhow to give helpful advice. She also uses a simple language that can be easily understood by an average person-there are no nonsense jargons and technical terms. The books flows from chapter to chapter with ease and without losing the connection. We have learnt much with my wife and are already applying most of the things especially for our little baby. And the homemade recipes are so lovely, you have to try them! Highly recommend to all vegetarians.

A vegetarian bible
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
My wife and I are vegetarians since our college days and we were looking for a vegan comprehensive guide that will provide a practical diet plan for our children. This audio book offered some wonderful recipes that addressed some of our nutritional concerns. I have read other similar books and this one is on the TOP of my list. I highly recommend this material as a must-have resource for families living a vegetarian lifestyle.

Great Tips for a Healthy Start
Kate Anderson couldn't have made it any easier for parents who are considering raising their kids as vegetarians. This short audiobook is loaded with tips and insight and I really enjoyed it.
Lillie Ricciardi does a fantastic job narrating and the information is so rich, I found myself really wishing that I'd thought of this well before now. The food supply is so questionable and living a life that eliminates meat can only help the system stave off a lot of the problems found in our systems. It will always be best to give kids a good start.
If you're looking for a book with great tips on either starting down this path with your kids or even making the transition, this is a great one! You won't be disappointed!

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Raising Vegetarian Children?
The recipes are easy and delicious - not just for kids! They aren't overly complicated and none of them take long to prepare which is great news for a working mom like me :)

Really grateful for this, lots of great ideas!
Any additional comments?
With a young child (and another one on the way!!!), i was concerned how to bring the vegetarian life to him, both in relation to his diet (and making sure he got all the nutrients etc he needs) and how to deal with him being at school and around other people. It is not the easiest thing but understanding how best to tackle it is important. I got recommended this book by a friend and i am very grateful for it. Packed with really good and actionable advice.

More information than you need
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, but only those with kids considering a vegetarian life. I myself went through a time when I was vegetarian and would have loved a guide like this, I was lucky to get a paragraph about what extras I needed
What was one of the most memorable moments of Raising Vegetarian Children?
That the kids are not at a disadvantaged and if done right it is actually better for you and its more down to diet than having meat and fish.
Which character – as performed by Lillie Ricciardi – was your favorite?
No character but Lillie was an excellent medium for passing on information in the book
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me happy and realize I was right all the way along and vegetarians do not have to be the pale and lackluster as portrayed in the media.

Really helpful, great advice!!
Any additional comments?
Raising a vegetarian child can be tough. We have already had a few issues with our son starting school. Not just the practical side, but the mental side too. Talking to him about it, giving him advice on how to talk to other kids etc etc. This really helped us all a lot, put our minds at ease about some stuff and also has the bonus of some recipes and food ideas to try out.

Very articulate
Any additional comments?
We have two young children who are approaching school age and we had been debating a lot about how to tackle vegetarianism and how to talk to them about it. The book gave us a lot of great information on how to deal with it in the family, at school and around their friends. Awkward things like other kids birthday parties is now a lot easier to deal with. Enjoyed the narration.
