You don't have to be controlled by difficult people! Strange as it may seem, other people are not nearly as committed to our happiness as we are. In fact, sometimes it seems like they’re on a mission to make us miserable! There’s always that one person. The one who hijacks our emotions. The one who seems to thrive on drama. If we could just “fix” that person, everything would be better. But we can’t fix other people. We can only make choices about ourselves. In this cut-to-the-chase audio book, communication expert Mike Bechtle shows you how to stop being a victim of other people’s craziness. With commonsense wisdom and proactive advice that you can put into practice immediately, Bechtle gives you a proven strategy to handle crazy people - and stay sane while doing it. Most definately as the author is reading it in a very interesting way
The moments he was making his suggestions in point format then expanding each point in details. Also all his stories were relevant to the topic and presented in a very interesting way.
The tone of his voice is clearly delivering the points he wrote. I belive this book would have never been as enjoyable if someone else was doing the reading.
YES, so many times I felt moved by the book and the points he made. In particular I was touched by his statement "do not be the victim of other people's weakness"
I so much loved and enjoyed the book that I will buy his book "Confident Conversations" in an audio format too.
Sadly, before purchasing this book, I only read the synopsis and the first few reviews. Had I done my homework and read more of the reviews, I would have seen the one that pointed out that this book has a strong religious component to it.
Had I seen that, I would have saved my money.
The author's reading is done well (hence the 3 stars for performance), however the content and it's emphasis on God, the Bible and matters of Faith were not for me.
No, however I will be more careful to read ALL of the reviews before purchasing next time.
Personable, clear, emotive
The subtle yet ever present proselytizing.
Inspirational and read by a great narrator!
NA favoite chapter 11
I am now on my second listen. I plan to listen to this audio book daily until the advice sticks!
