This book gives you real life tools that you can apply immediately at a range of ages. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to become a better more peaceful parent as well as adjusting to a new sibling.
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.
It's a great book, but I felt it's not for my stage. I have 2 teenagers and one 7 years old. All the examples is for parents with a toddler and a baby. I can still use the ideas for my case. But this age group needs another book. So if you are planning to have your second, or just had your second and the age difference is not big .. this is the book for you.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this book. I am pregnant with our second and I'm so glad I found it before she is born! I have started incorporating the techniques with my daughter, and she responds so well. It is keeping us close through the difficult times. I love the amount of very practical tips given to apply to siblings and family life. Can't wait to plan using a few techniques when my new baby is born.
In going to buy the book too so I can hi light for quick reference and get some of the other books mentioned. If you do one thing for your family, read this book! Thank you Dr. Laura M!
