Publisher's summary

Here are modern tales of happiness, compassion and love that will both enlighten and entertain. During his wanderings and work over the last 30 years as a Buddhist monk, Ajahn Brahm has gathered many poignant, funny and profound stories. While traditional Buddhist philosophy is at the heart of this collection, these thoughtful stories are written like playful parables, which are used to launch into a deeper exploration of subjects such as mindfulness, suffering, forgiveness, hope, wisdom, and unconditional love. Told with wit and good humor, they reveal moments of compassion in the lives of ordinary people and the timeless wisdom of the Buddha's teachings.

Absolutely AMAZING!

this it's the most commonly read book in my library. I've polished off over 200 non fiction books on audible, and this one has been the most life changing. I've listened to it probably 40 times. every time I feel stressed, annoyed, scared, pissed, or unloved I reread (listen) this little book of Australian awesomeness and get a dose of reality.

opening the door to your heart is worth 10 years of therapy.

Love this book

In print, I bought this book as Who Ordered This Truck Load of Dung. But this has most of the same delightful and insightful stories just a different title. I have listened to this book many times. I love it and highly recommend it.

Beautiful. Essential listening

I book that everyone should read... listen to. Human, humourous and profound.
Not religious, or preaching, but rather, teachings on how to love in this life, universally.
I am used to listening to Ajahn Brahm, so it at first seemed strange to hear his words from another's voice, but well read nonetheless.
