Publisher's summary

Buddhist master Achaan Chah spent years meditating in a forest monastery of Thailand. This remarkable book reflects his simple and powerful message as well as the quiet, joyful Buddhist practice of dhudanga, or "everyday mindfulness", with profound insights for the West.

A Memorable Teaching

Ajahn Chah doesn't disappoint. He guides the listener through Buddhism's most important concepts, but cautions the listener that experience, watching the mind, and knowing oneself are more important than reading books. Everything needed to reach Nibbana are within oneself. There's no need to go anywhere else. Listen to this audiobook. You will be greatly rewarded.

Good inspiration

More organized and less scattered than Food for the Heart, perhaps also a bit lighter too. I enjoy both books and I feel like there is value in both. This one is a good inspiration for someone wanting to get a bit more into their meditation, past simply stating, and towards maintaining their practice and past the formal sit.

One of the greatest

Books I've ever experienced in my life. I couldn't recommend it more, for anyone at any stage.

Not sure if I wanted this

Once again one is a prey to one's expectations. This is a fairly commercial use of a famous man's life and works a narrative of his life and work more than a report of his teachings. I listened to the end but was left with the feeling that the publisher got more out of it than I did...
