Publisher's summary

“Napoleon Hill was one of America’s great, influential thinkers who continues to have an enormous impact today.” - Steve Forbes, editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine

Bestselling author Napoleon Hill reveals the seven principles of good that allow us to triumph over obstacles...and find success.

Using his legendary ability to get to the root of human potential, Napoleon Hill digs deep to reveal how fear, procrastination, anger, and jealousy prevent us from realizing our personal goals. This long-suppressed parable, once considered too controversial to publish, was written by Hill in 1938 following the publication of his classic bestseller, Think and Grow Rich. Annotated and edited for a contemporary audience by Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Three Feet from Gold coauthor Sharon Lechter, this book is profound, powerful, resonant, and rich with insight.

Critic reviews

"My simple faith is this: If we are created in God’s image, then we were born to create, and to create is to prosper. [This] previously unpublished Napoleon Hill manuscript.... I’ve read it and recommend it." (Rich Karlgaard, Publisher of Forbes magazine)

Life changer!

I have listened to this book several times. It is as powerful as they get if you are ready to make real change. If you are not ready don’t waste your time, offer the book to someone you care about.

Happy reader...

Good lessons from the dark side

very good away from motivation for correct use of the mind. Puts perspective on our faults & strengths and communicated beautifully in an interview fashion..
A game changer for using our minds

A Must Have

Would you listen to Napoleon Hill's Outwitting the Devil again? Why?

Absolutely. I feel this is even more powerful material than "Think and Grow Rich"

What did you like best about this story?

I believe the format used, a two-person interview with the devil, perfectly illustrates everything that Mr. Hill knew was important in a powerful way.

What does Dan John Miller and Phil Gigante bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It's as if you're in the room with Napoleon Hill.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I had the time to listen straight through I absolutely would. I listen while driving.

Any additional comments?

If you've read or listened to Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich" a bazillion times like I have, this is a must. This book was written in 1938 by the beloved Mr. Hill however his family begged him not to release it. As a result, it was not published until 2011. It's the Law of Attraction and the entire story of how we all have to make the life we want.
Surprisingly, Napoleon Hill had a rough patch in his career and this is his story of how he resolved the issues that paralyzed him personally and professionally.

Convicting and Compelling. It lit a fire under me.

Would you listen to Napoleon Hill's Outwitting the Devil again? Why?

YES! I heard it three times and I'm still learning from it. It's worth studying. It serves as a real inspiration for my own writings. Much of what is in this book has already been proven or has been made obvious through the last 70 years. It is so appropriate for today's economic times. a must read (or listen ) for anyone suffering from depression or anxiety disorder (myself included).

What other book might you compare Napoleon Hill's Outwitting the Devil to and why?

Anything that describes existentialism in an objective light. even simple reads such as

What about Dan John Miller and Phil Gigante ’s performance did you like?

Simply awesome. Extremely credible.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Any additional comments?

I'm not religious, but the Bible does say : No man can serve two masters (Mattthew 6:24). By the time scientists prove this stuff it will be too late for the drifters. You can run but no one can hide from the reality of poverty., which is totally unnecessary. This is a must read/ listen for Religous teachers, academic teachers and especially for PARENTS !! Anyone who loves kids should read or listen to this.

Excellent book.

Intense but still easier to understand than Think and Grow Rich. It's very revealing and thought provoking. A book to go over several times

Extremely Strange Yet Extremely Helpful

This book has some disturbing features, such as Hill addressing satan as, "Your majesty," so I wouldn't consider it theologically sound. However, once you understand that it's not Biblically sound, most of the advice is refreshingly motivating, which is what I need.

Thought provoking

I was amazed how much of myself was exposed in this book. Started my day by listening to portions of Hill's writing and it made a profound effect on how my work day played out. I will make a point to listen to this book several times throughout the year and share it with others.
